“CBD is the exclusive caterer for One North Broad, so we were locked in but excited given their strong reviews. We primarily worked with Alaina, who was very kind and helpful in walking us through options and providing sample floor plans.
Our guests raved about the food, and we really enjoyed it as well. The staff were all wonderful, attentive, and made everyone feel well cared for.
We did have to sign a contract before the tasting and received some pushback when we wanted to make selections contingent on the tasting so we could confirm pricing. We weren’t comfortable signing without knowing it would fit our budget. After the tasting, the only change we made was upgrading one entrée from prime rib to filet mignon.
As the wedding approached, getting a final invoice was extremely difficult despite having provided final guest counts. After weeks of asking, we received it just two days before the wedding, and it was significantly higher than expected, with staffing costs increasing by several thousand dollars. A small off-season food discount we had arranged also wasn’t reflected initially. After a lot of back and forth, they corrected the invoice to include the discount but gave little explanation for the staffing increase beyond saying we requested a higher level of service. With it being the night before our wedding, we ultimately just paid it.
Again, the actual food and service day of was amazing, I just wish the invoicing had been finalized earlier so it wasn’t a stress so close to our wedding day.”
