Justin really nailed it. He was flexible, easy to reach, and made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera. He has a gift for capturing both the big moments and the little details, and his candid shots feel timeless. Beyond his talent, he brought kindness to our guests and patience when challenges came up. We help outdoorsy lovers get married in beautiful outdoor venues provided by Mother Nature herself. Our couples have the wedding of their lifetime doing things that matter to them with their closest family and friends. We create inexpensive intimate ceremonies in expansive settings in the woods, river canyons, mountain ridges, deserts, or beaches. We give couples an opportunity to create their own ceremonies and trail-blaze their own traditions as they begin their Forever Endeavor Together. And we document it all with stunning, bold, crystal clear photographs that are a reverie both in nature and love.

Murphys Photo Studio
Rating: 5.0 (3 reviews)
  • Classic style
  • Starts at $1,500
  • Serves Wallace, CA

Murphys Photo Studio specializes in cinematic wedding photography rooted in the beauty of the Sierra foothills. We capture the real emotion of your day — the quiet anticipation, the laughter, the wind catching a veil at golden hour — with a refined, film-inspired style that feels timeless and natural. From vineyard ceremonies in Murphys to celebrations across California, our focus is simple: preserve your story with depth, elegance, and intention so it feels just as powerful decades from now as it does today. Have camera, will travel.

From the moment we first spoke with Murphys Photo Studio, we knew they would be the perfect fit for capturing our wedding day. Blake and his team had a very relaxed and open communication style that immediately put us at ease. Their classic photography style was exactly what we were looking for - capturing all the timeless moments without drawing unnecessary attention. On the day of the wedding, Blake blended seamlessly into the crowd, never blocking anyone's view during the ceremony. We also loved that he didn't mind when our family and friends also snapped photos - he was just focused on getting the best shots. The final photos exceeded our expectations and we are thrilled to have such beautiful memories of our special day.

Joleen Willis Photography
Rating: 5.0 (2 reviews)
  • Editorial style
  • Starts at $4,250
  • Serves Wallace, CA

It is so important to me that your wedding photography is authentic to you as a couple. I want you to have the space to be yourselves, and the time to savor each part of the day. While I do enjoy directing my couples to some extent, I want to be involved as little or as much as you'd have me. I want to work with you closely months before the day to make a timeline that fits your personality and also gives you confidence in the photos you'll receive once the day is over. I want to make sure that we don't rush to the next part of the day without really enjoying the part that comes before it.

The photos we got for our wedding were mind-boggling! They were so well done. Everyone we showed them to got emotional. We had a unique situation where we could take photos in a cave, and they came out incredible. She also traveled far for our wedding, which we really appreciated. She was so great to work with and made us and everyone who took photos with her feel at ease. Multiple people came up to me and told me how much they liked working with Joleen and how nice she was. We're so happy we chose her for our photos. Thank you!

  • Serves Wallace, CA

Tiffany specializes in creating the exceptional luxury of an alluring yet cultivated experience while capturing connection and beauty. She draws from over ten years in the wedding photography industry to capture authentic luminous love stories that reflect not only the beauty in a moment but the feeling.

Tiffany and her team were AMAZING! From the moment we contacted her, Tiffany was professional, helpful and easy to talk to. Figuring everything out for my wedding was all a learning experience and she helped me out so much during the process. During our engagement session, we got to know Tiffany better and once we saw the photos she took, we knew we had made the right choice. We refined the timeline (a lot) and she was available for questions or concerns when I had them. We had the most amazing wedding day, thanks to Tiffany, Alyssa and Brittany. They helped us figure out the best places, and how, to pose and made my husband and I feel super comfortable the whole time. Tiffany captured shots in a way that takes me right back to that moment and I'll cherish them forever. All the photos we got back were fantastic, and I would recommend Tiffany to anybody who needs photos of anything!

Love Wildly Elopement Photography
Rating: 5.0 (1 review)
  • Editorial style
  • Starts at $4,000
  • Serves Wallace, CA

Photographing elopements happened by chance for me, but once I did my first one, I realized what an amazing experience it was for my couples. Having played a role on so many big wedding days, I realized there was so much my couples were missing out on. The stand out was the pace of the day and time spent with each other! I learned elopements moved at a much slower pace and that those couples had so much more time with each other. They are free to mark the date at a location that really speaks to them, and without a guest list (or a small one) they were so much more free to celebrate the way that left them feeling the most content.

Joleen is one of my favorite photographers in my area. Every wedding and shoot I have worked with her has been a great experience. She provides a high level of professionalism to her brides and is sensitive to every clients needs on the day. Joleen knows exactly how to make her clients feel at ease and relaxed in front of the camera while capturing the most important moments.

The Talented Photographer was an absolute dream to work with for our wedding. From the very first interaction, Alec's communication style was fun, professional, and incredibly personable. Alec has an incredible eye for the right shots, and the final photos are absolutely gorgeous. Despite a complicated location schedule that I was worried about, Alec made the whole day seamless, traveling to over 4 different spots to ensure we got all the groupings and special shots we wanted. My name is Ashley. I operate as a portrait photographer based in Cleveland, Ohio, with a specialized focus on capturing evocative, dark, and conceptual themes and I offer multiple editing aesthetics. Over a span of 18 years, I have honed my craft in photography. My educational background includes the attainment of a Certificate of Photography from the Hallmark Institute of Photography in Massachusetts and being self taught.

Awarded Best of Zola
The Important Points about Sage & Iron You Should Not Skip: -Budget friendly -Super flexible -Empathetic and understanding -Professional family wrangler -Prompt communication & transparency -Open to ideas if you've got 'em, but if not that's totally fine too -Easily the most "human" professional photographer I've ever had the pleasure of working with Sage & Iron (we only worked with Ashley) is someone I felt super comfortable with right away--which says a lot because I'm usually so untrusting of most people I hire for things. My husband and I were hunting for a wedding photographer that could provide spooky/moody photos of us, but also some traditional classics too. All with the very tight constraints of funding our small wedding ourselves, we thought we'd never find what we were looking for. *Enter: Sage & Iron* We booked with S&I right away, and while I originally had plans with a friend to take our engagement photos, that fell through, and S&I(Ashley) was SO understanding when I asked about booking an engagement session even though it wasn't originally in our plans. We scheduled for dates in the fall, but it's Ohio, so there was of course rain.. then wind.. so our spooky moody engagement shoot ultimately was pushed to early spring in a cemetery. You would NEVER know that we didn't take these photos in the late-fall! Mission: Accomplished I am chronically forgetful, but Ashley always came through with reminders about payment dates, and was always incredibly flexible with me when I said I'd text her soon and "soon" became days. A Saint of Patience! Not to mention, all of our wedding planning (Read: Me stressing out) was happening while Ashley was experiencing some heavy life-things of her own, but she never once made me feel like anything less than a priority. Truly dedicated to her clients and making sure they feel heard and cared for. Wedding: It was beautiful weather all week, but naturally, bonkers wind and rain the entire day of our wedding. Unfortunately, and at no fault of S&I, our venue that already was lacking in the "indoor photo locations department" decided to book a 1000 guest event at the last minute the same day of our wedding... So are many of our photos in a stairwell not designed for photos? Yes. Did Ashley do her damndest to get interesting photos of the bridal party despite the lack of indoor locations or ideal lighting conditions? I believe so! She was also a champion of wrangling us, keeping the family under control during photo time, delegating whose turn it was to get photos with the bride and groom next, it was like watching a foreman in a work zone. And I NEEDED someone to do that for me because I was, well, a bride. In summary: S&I (Ashley) is a joy and a pleasure to work with, even when I forget to download my own wedding photos before they came down from the website... She still has them stored safely for me to be able to download them. An angel. If you're looking for a photographer who is real with you, keeps you updated, has transparent pricing and won't ever try to bait-and-switch you, cares about you as a human first and foremost, knows how to flex some genuinely cool moody artistic shots but still nails the classics, you've found your vendor!

Natalie and Pedro are the absolute best!! Not only are they both so kind, friendly, and personable, but so professional, patient, and organized. From the start of the planning process, I felt at ease with Natalie. I appreciate the fast communication, along with how open and upfront she is about everything, I really didnt have to ask her any questions. I am not photogenic at all lol and was so nervous about taking photos, but they made me feel comfortable and relaxed. I appreciated the directions they gave and how my husband and I could be silly and have a fun time whiIe taking pictures. Hi! My name is Madison, but you can call me Maddi. Raised in Maryland, I've lived in Colorado, South Dakota, and Germany. I now live in San Diego with my husband and our two dogs. I've always had a love for photography and I feel privileged to bring my passion to life. I want my photos to capture the genuine feeling of the moment and to reflect you and your story.

Awarded Best of Zola
Madison's not just someone with a camera and capability, she's a photographer with a natural good eye as well. We appreciated her clean subject alignments/angles and more true-to-color editing and were very impressed by the pictures we got back from reception, where we had pretty complex indoor lighting: A whole wall of windows behind us most of the time and then dark brown ballroom lighting into the evening (@Loews Hotel). Not to mention, we asked her to minimize using flash as a personal preference and she was so receptive and remembering of that too. Communicating with her was like talking to a friend. She was responsive, engaged, and inclusive. Could go on and on, but her images speak for themselves because she is consistent both in her photography style as well as personality!
