For this wedding, we had to transform an inspiration photo into a glam-style red wedding design, and Ashanti absolutely delivered. The bride wanted florals showcased inside acrylic tiers for the cake—a unique and challenging concept. These acrylic tiers had to be sourced from London, measured precisely, customized with Ashanti’s florals, and transported from Virginia to Florida and survive 3-4 days. Not only did the floral design make the journey, but it also held up beautifully throughout the wedding. The result? Stunning florals that tied the cake seamlessly into the overall wedding design. The bride was overjoyed, the guests were amazed, and I was blown away. Together, we created a once-in-a-lifetime piece for a deserving couple and seeing the bride’s ecstatic reaction made all the effort worth it. “We took on a lot of planning ourselves, and hired Rina to be our day of coordinator--or really month of coordinator--and out of all of our planning decisions, hiring Rina was one of the best decisions we made. Ahead of our first call, we sent a long document outlining the ideas we had--which she looked through and gave us useful feedback on as we considered what support we needed most. We had some unique ideas for how to do things our own way--and it was also clear from our conversation, that while Rina knows how to do a "textbook" wedding--she also knows how to listen to clients to help them make their unique vision a reality, even if that requires some creative thinking, crafting, or problem solving. When we did our venue walkthrough a month before the event, we sent Rina another long document, floorplan, and schedule the day before--and she once again arrived familiar with all of it. She had crucial suggestions, important questions we hadn't thought of, and proved again she was the right person to help us get prepared for the big day. That pattern repeated once more at rehearsal which was very efficient! The day of our wedding, Rina was punctual, professional, and in expert control running the show we had put together. She had already connected with all of our vendors, reviewed all the decorations we designed and how they set up, and was fully familiar with the timeline. When the inevitable surprises popped up, she was quick to roll with the punches--in a way that kept our plans on track! The entire event was not just beautiful, unique, and exactly the vibe we had envisioned--but it was also EXACTLY ON SCHEDULE, from set up to the paper lantern send off at the end! We are thoroughly impressed, and can't recommend Rina highly enough! She was our not so secret weapon. Let her be yours too! And make no mistake, while we had Rina as our month-of-coordinator--we would have absolutely hired Rina to take on the entire thing if we hadn't enjoyed planning so much (and even then, we couldn't have finished the plans without her input!). I will also say, having planned so much ourselves, it really made it very personal to us that the schedule we made, the decorations we crafted, and the timeline we envisioned were faithfully executed. It was so personal, that I thought it would be hard to hand off our cherished plan to someone else. Who could know it as well as us or care as much? But every conversation with Rina made letting go easy, because it was so clear she was listening to us, and understanding us. There is no one else we would've trusted with our plan except Rina.”

“Before I met Katie, I truly thought I could be my own wedding planner. I had booked my venue and photographer and figured I could handle the rest. But once I dove into the world of wedding planning, I quickly realized how many details, moving parts, and potential stressors were involved. My biggest worry was that my venue had never hosted a wedding before, which felt daunting, and I was also nervous about managing vendors, timelines, and logistics while still trying to enjoy being engaged. Katie came highly recommended, and after just one phone call, I knew I needed her by my side. Her decade-plus of experience was immediately obvious - she knows exactly what to do, when to do it, what options to consider, what could go wrong, and how to handle everything seamlessly. After booking her, she recommended all of my remaining vendors (florist, cake, DJ, transportation, etc.), and every single one told me the same thing: “You’re in great hands with Katie. We’re not worried, she’ll tell us what to do and when.” Once I shared my vision with each vendor, I truly didn’t have to lift another finger. Katie handled all the technicalities and logistics directly with the vendors. From start to finish, she was organized, responsive, thoughtful, and genuinely invested in making sure our day was perfect. We met monthly leading up to the wedding, and she was incredibly accommodating to our schedules, often with evening meetings after our 9-5s. Her attention to detail and ability to anticipate needs was unmatched. We did not have to give a single thought as to what needed to get done: she was always one step ahead of us and made sure to keep us on track. I especially loved the platform that she uses, which made checklists, guest tracking, and table planning super easy. She has an incredible network of vendors under her belt, which made even some of our niche asks - such as a cigar bar setup, and live calligraphy - possible. On the wedding day itself, everything ran flawlessly. We were able to fully relax and enjoy every moment knowing that our planner had everything handled. Literally everything went completely according to schedule, thanks to her. If there were any issues, we had no idea that they happened because she took care of it. So many of our guests told us it was the best wedding they had ever been to, and we have Virginia and her team to thank. We are beyond grateful for her hard work, guidance, and calm presence throughout the planning process. If you are considering hiring a planner, do not hesitate: hire V&V!!”
