I Got A Love Jones Events
Sarah, our lead planner, has been hosting and planning events since 2012. What started as intimate events with family and friends, has expanded to hosting private events for up to 200 guest. Sarah received her Bachelor of Science in Sociology with a minor in African American History in 2016. She also received her Master of Urban Education-School Counseling, K-12 in 2020. She is able to offer expert guidance on what venues and vendors will work best for your specific wedding, based on your specific vision, design, budget, guest count, and overall priorities for your wedding day. Our lead planner is also a certified civil celebrant in Virginia.
She is known for her ability to balance managing a large social, Women’s Empowerment Group and her career as a Professional School Counselor. We are open to working with couples from all backgrounds. No event is too unorthodox!

Sarah literally made our wedding a dream come true! She is a wedding planner who truly wears many hats and gets things DONE. At times she was our therapist, at times our advocate, and now she’s family. My husband Kyle and I cannot thank her and her team at I Got A Love Jones Event enough for making our special day go off without a hitch. We were able to be fully present and not worry about a single thing—and that is priceless.

I can not say enough great things about Sarah and I Got A Love Jones events. From the very first phone call I and my now husband knew she was the individual this type A bride needed! Her communication, top notch. Her attitude towards everything, amazing. Her organization, outstanding. She made my vision come to life exactly as I wanted it ! My husband and I opted for a very small wedding and the service Sarah provided made us feel very supported. She fielded text messages for me and communications. She provided the problem solving I needed when I was not able to do it myself. The amount of professionalism she displayed but also was still able to be very personable with both my husband and Is family day of. Our family is still talking about how amazing she was, how great of a job she did and how beautifully everything was set up. I would highly recommend and HAVE recommend Sarah and her team to future couples !

They were also easy to be around and talk to, which made the whole process stress-free. I Got A Love Jones Events provided us with exceptional communication and service for our intimate wedding ceremony. Sarah's script for our wedding was exactly what we wanted - it was heartfelt and personalized, capturing the essence of our relationship perfectly. We had a very small ceremony with just 7 guests plus us, and we enjoyed Sarah's presence so much that we asked her to join us in toasting afterwards. We're so happy she did! Our ceremony was a legal ceremony, and we plan to have a larger wedding celebration in a few months. We liked Sarah so much that we are going to ask her to perform that ceremony as well. I would highly recommend I Got A Love Jones Events for their clear communication, quality of work, and ability to make a special day even more meaningful.

Wedding Day Planning
Sarah was an absolute pleasure to work with! She was able to step in and help us last minute after our previous wedding planner cancelled on us. She was extremely professional, prompt, and supportive. She did her best to make sure our big day was everything we wanted, and ensured that we stayed stress free.
