Photoflood Studio is a wife + husband team from San Francisco, California. We are wedding photographers servicing NorCal to SoCal and beyond. Photoflood Studio specializes in wedding, engagement, and family photography. We aim to photograph life + love through an honest documentary approach. Our wedding, engagement and family photography is inspired by the beautiful wilderness, the culture of our coastal cities, and wherever you call home.

We're a wife + husband duo - we celebrated with three tiny weddings (with one being a totally site-unseen destination beforehand) & have learned a ton of what it's like to be on both sides of the planning :) After 10 years of wedding experience, we're here to help make your journey much more smooth & a ton more fun!

    The Photographer You Want on Your Wedding Day

    Courtney came highly recommended to us by one of my best friends, and we truly feel so lucky that she was our wedding photographer. From the very beginning, she was incredibly easy to work with, organized, and very experienced which helped everything run smoothly. On our wedding day she felt like so much more than just a photographer — she was an extra source of support, helping guide us through the timeline, hyping us up, and making sure we were actually able to enjoy the day. It was clear she genuinely cared about making it a smooth and memorable day for us. We interviewed several photographers before choosing Courtney, and what really stood out was not only how beautiful her photos were but also how thoughtfully they were edited. When comparing her galleries to others, it was clear she puts real care and time into her editing process. She does an exceptional job editing skin tones (especially for those of us who are Asian or have tan/dark skin), making sure colors look true to life and not overly yellow or orange like we’ve sometimes seen with other photographers. Our wedding day was busy and chaotic at times, but Courtney went above and beyond helping organize people and keeping things on track. She was incredibly patient and great with kids and grandparents, and handled every situation with professionalism and kindness. She also asked thoughtful questions ahead of time to make sure she captured the moments that mattered most to us, which we really appreciated. She was also amazing at coaching us through poses so nothing looked awkward or forced. The final photos look so natural and effortless, which is exactly what we wanted. As an added bonus, she beautifully captured the love and connection between us in a way that felt so genuine. On top of everything, she was wonderful with our rowdy dog and made a real effort to include him in our photos, which meant so much to us. Overall, Courtney is not only a talented photographer who delivers stunning photos, but also a true professional who brings calm, positivity, and care to your wedding day. We cannot recommend her highly enough.

    Beautiful photos and amazing to work with

    We had the pleasure of working with Courtney & Jackson as our wedding photographers, and they did an incredible job. During the day, we were slightly behind schedule with hair & makeup, but Courtney & Jackson were able to get us back on schedule during the family photos without any hiccups, which was such a bonus. What really impressed us was how comfortable we felt in their presence - they had that effortless, long-term friend vibe that even our friends and family noticed. The final product was absolutely stunning, with pictures that truly captured our special day. Overall, Courtney & Jackson exceeded our expectations and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for top-notch wedding photography.

    Amazing experience. Highly recommend!!

    Courtney photographed our wedding in the San Francisco Botanical Garden and really made the day magical. From the first time we spoke on the phone to receiving our final images, Courtney was an absolute pleasure to work with. We had a small wedding/elopement and found pricing very reasonable for the amount of time and photos offered. She was so easy to get along with and was an expert at helping direct everyone so we could get all the shots we wanted. We loved that she was so familiar with the botanical garden too and knew all the best spots. Courtney was very organized and we received our sneak peeks and album in a reasonable time. Her genuine enthusiasm stands out and really left a lasting impression. After the wedding, all of our family members raved at how great Courtney was and how we were so lucky to have her capture our special day. We would highly recommend her!

    Wonderful Photographers to work with!

    We hired Photoflood studio for our wedding in Napa. Wedding planning is naturally very stressful, as there are a lot of moving parts, but Courtney made this particular part of the wedding run very smoothly. She brought out the best of us in our photographs by being very personable, understanding, and chipper when we needed it. Looking back at our photos over a year later, I'm very happy with our decision to hire her. They captured the day beautifully and gave a sense of warmth. Courtney was easy to work with and she and Jackson made us very comfortable in front of the camera!

    Thank you Photoflood Studio!!

    Whether you decide to have a big or small wedding, finding the perfect photographer is an essential detail. We stumbled across Courtney’s portfolio and fell in love with her story telling, but soon discovered that we loved working with her even more! Our initial meeting felt so comfortable, and her energy makes you feel like you’ve known her forever. Not only did she ask what we envisioned for the day, but she helped us create a timeline, directed us on the city hall wedding process, and even compiled a whole email with other resources for hair/makeup and florists. My husband and I never take professional photos, so we don’t know how to pose elegantly, but Courtney’s direction, words, and vibe made the experience extremely fun and care-free. Our families loved her, and my relatives could not stop raving about her afterwards. I think one of the most important aspects of a photographer is to make their clients feel confident and comfortable, and to allow their emotions to organically shine - and Courtney does this perfectly. We can’t wait to work with her again in the future for our future milestones :)
