Hi, we're The Moon Units! We're known throughout California for our 650+ song list, our authentic on-stage chemistry, and performances that clients have called "better than the original bands" that recorded the songs. And because we're a real band, we offer prices that are just a fraction of what corporate booking agencies charge. We can't wait to play for you!

Five things set The Moon Units apart from other wedding bands. 1. Versatility: We know over 650 songs in all sorts of genres, and add new ones all the time. 2. Talent: Our players and singers hail from top music programs like Berklee College of Music, UCLA, and CalArts. 3. Authenticity: Ever go to a wedding and think the band was so ridiculously cheesy? Not The Moon Units! We're as authentic as a band you'd see in live club or theater. 4. Fun: How does fronting the band during live band karaoke sound? You can do it! It's available with all our packages. 5. Respect: We treat our clients with respect and never slap them with hidden fees.

The best wedding band of all time
TL;DR you’re not going to find a better entertainment option for your wedding than The Moon Units! I always wanted a band for my wedding, but wasn’t sure it would work out with our budget. Thankfully, Dylan and his team were able to deliver an incredible product at a comfortable price point. They offer different packages and even with the most affordable one with the fewest band members we didn’t feel like we missed anything! They are such talented musicians and the catalog that they offer is unparalleled. Perhaps the greatest perk is that most weddings end up adding three songs to their repertoire. This is because the standard package includes them learning three songs of your choice to make your evening bespoke. So just in the time between booking them and your big day, there’s a good chance one of your favorite songs will be added to their catalog! This thankfully happened for us. We really wanted a Vampire Weekend song and someone added one of our favorite bangers: Unbelievers! And we only had 6 months between signing our deal and our December nuptials. If you’re a control freak/music nut like me, then you’ll also appreciate how they allow you tweak their set list to your liking. My only regret is that they had to cut a few of my favorite tracks because speeches and other parts of our evening ran long. I’m grateful they played one of the cut songs during sound check and I got to appreciate it just before first look. There were only a tiny number of decisions in wedding planning that were as simple and straightforward as hiring The Moon Units. I think you’ll find the same experience. I can’t imagine having anyone else provide the soundtrack to our special day. And the icing on the wedding cake: we have a board recording and can relive every note from their marvelous three hours set. What a gift. They make me want to become a professional wedding crasher so I can hear them perform on the regular!

Book the Moon Units!!!
The Moon Units were an amazing choice for our wedding in Los Angeles. The venue was the Adamson House which is somewhat challenging logistically for vendors, but the Moon Units were really flexible and able to navigate the demands of the venue flawlessly. Their communications and planning with us (primarily through Dylan) were prompt, organized, and professional. On the day of the wedding, their performance at the ceremony and the reception were fantastic and added such a special atmosphere to the event. We're so glad we went with the Moon Units!

Best wedding band we’ve experienced
We received so many compliments from our guests, and everyone had an amazing time. We’ve hired several bands for different events over the years, and this band is by far our absolute favorite! The music was fantastic, the energy was perfect, and the professionalism stood out from start to finish. Even our wedding coordinator was thoroughly impressed, especially with how smooth and professional the communication was. We’ll definitely be adding them to our vendor referral list and hope to have them back at our venue for future events. Highly recommend!

The perfect band for our wedding
We loved working with the Moon Units for our wedding. From the very first email Dylan was a delight to work with. Responsive, helpful, and clear. The process of song selection and playlist creation was seamless and we felt very taken care of. And on the wedding day - not enough can be said about how valuable their team was to us. They covered all the ground for us, from cueing playlists and speeches, cocktail music, to a full night of dancing, and every beat and element was incredible. We got SO many compliments on behalf of the band, and hope they know how special they are. Book them!!

Blown away by the Moon Units!
The Moon Units were the best part of our dreamy desert wedding! If it wasn’t an open, outdoor wedding they would’ve torn off the roof (while respecting local sound ordinances, of course.) They have such a deep catalog of hits and did a great job balancing the set list between bangers that appealed to guests who came to dance and those who were a little bit shy. They kept the energy level over the top from cocktail hour through a windy night that would have sent many vendors packing up. The wind knocked the venue power out halfway through the set, and they didn’t miss a beat while the venue got generators online for their electric amps. They kept the party going into the night, and looked like they were having as much fun as we were, despite falling amps and heat lamps! The guests were raving about them: - ‘I felt like I was back in high school, dancing with reckless abandon!’ - ‘ I have never seen my parents dance, but they didn’t leave the dance floor’ They couldn’t have been nicer to work with, and we are thankful for their part in our perfect day!
