How far in advance should we book you for our wedding?

Whether you're planning a year in advance or have a shorter timeline, don't underestimate the importance of booking your wedding photographer early. Reaching out as soon as possible, even if you're unsure of all the details, will significantly increase your chances of connecting with the perfect professional. Typically, couples begin their search for a wedding photographer well in advance, often around 13 months before their wedding date. This allows ample time to research different photographers, review their portfolios, schedule consultations, and ensure they book someone whose style and personality align with their own.

What’s your back-up plan if you can’t photograph our wedding as planned?

In all honesty, I've never missed a wedding due to illness or personal reasons. It's a record I'm incredibly proud of, fueled by a deep sense of responsibility to the couples who entrust me with such an important task. I understand the weight of this responsibility, the months (sometimes years!) of planning that culminate in this single, incredible day. You deserve the peace of mind knowing your photographer will be there to capture it all. My promise to you is this: in the extremely unlikely event I'm unable to photograph your wedding, I will make sure you are in good hands with another photographer I have a personal relationship with.

Do you work with assistants or other photographers?

Whether you need an assistant or a second photographer depends on the size and complexity of your wedding. At a larger, more complex weddings, a second photographer becomes invaluable, enabling simultaneous coverage of pre-ceremony preparations, multiple perspectives during the ceremony and reception, and a more comprehensive documentation of your entire celebration. Let's discuss your wedding day vision and determine if having an extra set of helping hands is the right decision for you. After all, capturing your dream day perfectly is my top priority.

Will you edit all our pictures?

Final files will be edited for color, saturation and exposure to ensure they look natural with basic retouching at no additional charge. This dedication to detail highlights the importance of photo editing in delivering exceptional results. It's a commitment to providing clients with photographs that are not only captured naturally but also meticulously crafted to perfection. It's worth noting that while retouching can enhance an image, the goal is always to maintain a natural and authentic appearance. Over-retouching can lead to unrealistic and artificial results, which can be detrimental to the overall impact of the photograph.

No, at this time, I prefer focusing on photography only, so you can get the best wedding pictures possible.

How many pictures will we get?

While it's tempting to fixate on the number of photos you'll receive, remember that the true value of wedding photography lies in capturing the essence of your special day. Focus on hiring a talented, experienced photographer whose style resonates with you and who prioritizes telling your unique story through beautiful, high-quality images. And with the flexibility of both color and black & white versions, you'll have a truly comprehensive and timeless collection of memories to cherish for years to come. I don't limit the amount of images you will receive... everything is dependant on your wedding day which is strictly unique to only you.

Do you have insurance?

Yes! I understand that some venues may have specific insurance requirements. If your chosen location requests a higher coverage amount that I carry or requires a Certificate of Insurance (COI), I am happy to accommodate. I can easily increase my policy to meet their stipulations and have the COI sent directly to the venue, ensuring a seamless and stress-free experience. Protecting my clients and myself is a responsibility I take seriously. It's always wise to ask your photographer about their insurance coverage. A professional photographer should be happy to discuss their policy and provide proof of insurance.
