About Applehead Photography & Design

Applehead Photography & Design

We are Applehead Photography and Design, and our combination of directing and documenting provides our clients with photos of raw emotions and interactions, and allows us to truly get to know each and every person we photograph. It's pretty awkward to have your photo taken by a couple of strangers, but our hope is that by the end of the day, you feel like you had your photos taken by a pair of old friends. To us, it's not just about the end product you receive – it's about the adventure and the memories we created in order to do so.

With us, you receive: Us (duh!) - we spend 24/7 with each other so we know each other almost better than we know ourselves. That translates into the work we do and the art we make. We are also both lead photographers, no second shooters here. Your blemishes will always be edited because we don't think there's any other acceptable way. Fast turnaround time - we usually get our client's photos back to them within 1-2 weeks (and that's with your blemishes removed! Yes, we have no life!) Photos that will be cherished for their timelessness, authenticity, and drama.

    Stop what you’re doing right now and book Applehead (Pheather) as your wedding photographers. While you’re at it, book them for your videography as well! We discovered Philip and Heather (and all of our other vendors) through their event, Uncon Bridalcon. We were immediately drawn to their vibrant personalities and unique design. Their kindness and humor sealed the deal. Their turnaround rate was maybe 48 hours for our photos and the video within the next week. The product is A and every last detail thought through. I cannot explain how these photos make me feel. Our home video highlight reel captured the sentimental moments as well as the humorous ones, and somehow all of our 125 guests?? We also received ceremony and reception videos as well as any outtakes that didn’t make the final highlight, but each item felt so mindfully put together. We were able to share their photos with our guests and vendors alike, which was important to me because I grew super attached to our vendors (some might call it codependency), and it makes my heart so happy to have photos showing how much fun they were having as well! I also have to mention that I went through a very unexpected loss in the months between booking Applehead for our wedding and the actual day of, and Philip and Heather reached out to me to send their thoughts and encouragement. I will forever be grateful for their kindness during that moment and all that followed afterwards. I never expected that I would meet such intentional souls in the middle of planning my wedding. All of that to say, through Applehead’s work, you will always be able to reminisce on the aura and joy of the day. They were the best choice I made for my wedding day, second to my husband, of course.

    BEST WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHERS EVER!

    My husband and I cannot say enough wonderful things about Applehead Photography and how they made not only our day special but also for the rest of time as we reminisce on it! The photography and videography were the most important aspects to me when booking our vendors since I knew these were the pieces we would have forever to look back at. Philip & Heather more than delivered in every way! From the moment we met at our engagement shoot, they felt more like friends and calmed our nerves. They not only put us at ease, but also effortlessly made it fun which definitely showed in the photos! We also got several compliments from guests at our wedding of how personable and great they were. During the day, they were on hand and ready to help out in any way whether it was driving my mom and I down the path to the venue when my mom accidentally handed her keys to someone else, helping bustle my dress, or keeping groomsmen in line (or maybe encouraging their weirdness which is even better haha). The 90s home video style videography is so much fun for us because it felt more personal and captured everyone’s personalities perfectly. We loved how Pheather had a couple of video cameras that were passed around to friends to swap with people during the night so that even more intimate and true to life moments were captured. I also am still in awe of not only how quickly we got both the photos from our engagement shoot and the wedding photos/videos back, but how many there were and perfectly edited! My husband and I had decided last minute to take dance lessons for our first dance, but originally didn’t add it on to our videography package. I realized afterwards that we didn’t and no one had gotten a full video of it, but Philip saved the day by having the full footage anyway that we were able to add on post wedding to our package! We highly recommend Applehead and would use them over and over again. Pheather is one of the coolest couples you will meet and have a blast hanging out with during your wedding day!

    AMAZING VIBES

    Applehead Photography & Design were the perfect photographers for our wedding day. From the moment we connected with Pheather (the duo), we knew they were the right fit due to their communicative, collaborative, and fun communication style. The quality of their work was incredible - they truly delivered photos that were worth every cent! Pheather brought all the energy and guidance we needed, making my husband and I feel so comfortable in front of the camera. We are very comfortable with each other, but PDA in front of cameras felt so weird. They ensured not a single photo looked like something out of an awkward JC Penny family photoshoot, and captured our vibe exactly as we had hoped. We got our photos back quickly, which was so exciting since we hadn't told anyone about our engagement beforehand. I was stoked to hard launch my husband. They're truly fantastic and I would absolutely recommend them/ use them again!

    Heather and Philip were an amazing team and produced incredible photos and videos. From the moment I saw their work, I knew I wanted to book them, and they did not disappoint. They captured our day perfectly!! They were easy to work with, made us laugh countless times, posed us and the final products were amazing. Don't even get me started on the videos. If you want to look back in 30 years and see the real wedding you had, book them. They captured all the real raw moments, had our friends and family video from their perspective, captured our entire vows and all the speeches. My husband and I both cried and laughed so hard watching all the footage. Thank you again 3
