“Ted was our DJ and he was perfect, we absolutely loved him. I noticed something that I thought I would share in this review. In the pre-planning, I emailed him and asked, “How to you know what song to play when people are dancing?” I’m going to copy and paste what he emailed back to me: “Reading a crowd is something you just involuntarily learn to do. You look at the people dancing, you see how many guys, how many girls, the average age of the people dancing, what song is playing right now, what were the last five songs that I played? Is it time to change genres? Is it time for a slow song? And 100 other little details are running through my head and a song comes to mind, It’s like I’m playing a game of chess with the dance floor.” For some reason this stuck with me and occasionally I would watch him and I could see he was studying every move the dance floor made. I saw him pick a song, then watch for another minute, change his mind and pick another song and in my opinion every song he played was the perfect song. I’m a school teacher and probably overly analytical and this was rather fascinating for me to watch. But if you want to hire a true professional, who knows exactly what he is doing, hire this man!
