The Wild Thyme Company was founded in 2005 as a culmination of our Chief Foodie, Dawn Carvajal's, extensive culinary experience and desire to highlight the bold, intriguing, and undoubtedly delicious flavors of global cuisine. TWTC celebrates the art of flavors and beautiful ingredients coming together, and how food can create a sense of community. Most of our offerings are custom by client request. Founded on Mediterranean and Coastal California fares, our menus offer a farm-to-table feel, capturing the essence of fresh food and local provisions.

We handcraft our food with both a classic, yet trendsetting approach while maintaining the highest standards of local, seasonal quality. To cater to each and every client, we take pride in a heightened awareness of allergies and aversions to food and understand the need for creativity within these boundaries. We pride ourselves on creating one-of-a-kind experiences for all our clients while maintaining our commitment to sustainability--making ethical choices and utilizing sustainable products and practices through our trusted partnerships with local suppliers. We create beautifully handcrafted cuisine, and we have fun doing it!

    So glad we chose TWTC for our wedding!

    The Wild Thyme Company was an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding catering. From our first interaction, their communication was clear, helpful and attentive - answering all of our questions thoroughly and putting us at ease throughout the planning process. They also pitched in ideas for additional rentals and reviewed our final rentals list to make sure we were covered. On the day of our wedding, their staff was friendly and professional, ensuring the food service went off without a hitch. The quality of their work was truly outstanding - the presentation of the dishes was beautiful, and our guests raved about how delicious and filling the meal was, from the passed hors d'oeuvres to the entrees. We were blown away by the value we received, as the food was worth every penny. Of course, there were some unplanned moments and guests, all of which were quickly and professionally taken care of by TWTC whether it be an additional plate or serving. The tasting we did prior to the big day was also such a memorable experience, with the chef and event coordinator going above and beyond to make us feel special. We couldn't have asked for a better catering experience, and we're so grateful to The Wild Thyme Company for helping make our wedding day so perfect.

    Wild Thyme was absolutely amazing. From start to finish they were exceptional to work with and all food turned out amazing. So good I didn’t even get a picture of it in the moment.

    Delicious food

    The Wild Thyme always knocks it out of the park!

    I have been referring The Wild Thyme to my cilents for years. They consistently deliver delicious and amazing food. The Wild Thyme listens to my clients' needs and wants and will come up with a custom menu for them. They are wonderful to work with leading up to the event and also deliver exceptional service on the day. Book The Wild Thyme for your next event, they will not disappoint!!

    Fantastic Experience

    I live in Houston so had to plan a San Diego rehearsal dinner long distance, which took a good bit of faith, especially throughout months of uncertainty of whether the event could even take place because of COVID. Wild Thyme was on a list of several caterers approved by my venue, The Thursday Club; I selected only three for quotes. I chose Wild Thyme based on its website, menus, and the fact that Gina Eliason, Director of Sales, was easy to work with, listening to what was important to me and making spot-on suggestions. I could only hope that the dinner would be good, as I was unavailable for a tasting. Chef Dawn's food, including vegetarian, beef, and sea bass, was absolutely delicious, and the portions were surprisingly generous and beautifully plated. From appetizers to desserts, every bite was delectable. The service team was very accommodating, flexible, and professional, including when we all dropped our forks during the salad course to run out to the balcony to take sunset photos. Overall, the set up, food, and service led by Ryan were outstanding, and certainly exceeded my expectations. It didn't hurt that wonderful bartender Chad is also from Texas! My brother, who has a long history of hotel/resort food and beverage experience, including The Ritz Carlton, gave the food a big thumbs up. All of my guests were very impressed and thankful, and the gorgeous bride and my sweet son loved everything.
