Best Catering and Events Company in San Diego!
From our first conversation with Abbey Catering & Events, we knew we'd made the right choice. Chuck, Will, Petr and the team were responsive to every question and incredibly thoughtful about the details that would make our day special. At our wedding at Scripps Seaside Forum, Chuck kept our energy high by bringing us passionfruit mojitos and appetizers throughout cocktail hour, and even problem-solved on the fly by securing our candles with double-sided sticky tape so they wouldn't lean. Abbey's food was exceptional and their service was seamless, and we loved how they partnered with talented vendors like Emerald and Ivy Florals and SugarBear Sweet Provisions and the Entertainment Collective to bring our vision to life. For the quality and care we received, the value was unbeatable. We can't recommend Abbey Catering & Events highly enough to couples looking for a caterer who will truly go the extra mile.

The best decision ever!
What a wonderful day and a more awesome team to work with :) Abbey catering was beyond amazing and blew our expectations! From the start Will, who signed us up, was most helpful and really knew his information. We clicked instantly and it was such a pleasure to talk with him and meet him in person. We signed up for the tasting before signing with Abbey Catering and that was such a great experience. We got to meet Will in person and there was so much food to try and luckily bring home. After meeting Will we really had a great feeling and signed up within that week. The food was incredible at the tasting, and it was hard choosing which entrée and hours d’oeuvres to choose from since everything was so good. Chuck, our wedding coordinator, was beyond great and so helpful. He was such an asset to have on our side and really made the day go smooth. He was also so friendly and great to work with. We really felt like we made friends with our Abbey team. There were absolutely no hiccups whatsoever and I was so calm the whole day. David, our catering lead, was another amazing team member. He was right there to offer us food first and make sure we had enough of our share. The rest of the catering team always made us a priority too and I was very hungry after the ceremony in between pictures so that was so great. We ordered the following for tray passed hors d’oeuvres: petite beef wellington, wild mushroom arancini, bruschetta, and bacon wrapped stuffed dates. We opted for the dual entrée of the boneless short ribs, and the panko-herb crusted chicken with vegetables and the truffle smashed potatoes. All were so good and I wish I could eat them all again. Our guests could not stop raving about the food. They even made dietary restriction meals for several of our guests, and they said it was one of the best vegan/vegetarian meals they have ever had. We really were impressed with the food and so glad we went with Abbey as that was important for us to have really good tasting food. We opted for the whole package with their vendors for flowers, DJ, photographer, and cake. Best decision ever!!! We had Emerald and Ivy for the florist and my goodness Mishele, and the Abbey team put together exactly what I pictured in my mind! Such beautiful flowers and we rented bud vases and candles from her. DJ Abel from the Wedding Entertainment Collective was beyond amazing! He played our songs and knew the vibes we were going for. The dance floor was a hit, and our guests were dancing the whole night. Everyone was telling us the DJ was so good! Misha, our photographer, was amazing and made us feel so comfortable. The pictures are so beautiful! The cake and mini cupcakes from Sugar Bears Sweet Provisions were out of this world! I’m so glad we saved our wedding cake because we ate it the next day. Our guests loved the mini cupcakes too and we even had enough to give out at treats and take home. We really are so grateful we decided to go with Abbey catering. They really went above and beyond. The whole team, Will, Chuck, David, and the caterers were 10 out of 10 Thank you so much and to the Abbey vendors for making our day even more special!

Stress Free Wedding Thanks to Abbey Catering
Planning a wedding is stressful enough, but planning one in just a couple of months took that stress to another level. I had no idea where to even begin. A friend recommended the company she used—Abbey Catering—and I am genuinely so grateful she did. Their packages took an enormous weight off my shoulders because they covered all the major elements: food, florals, photography, and entertainment. I also loved how flexible their packages were. You can tailor it to your needs. Troy, David, and the entire team made the whole experience incredibly easy. They responded quickly, asked thoughtful questions, and consistently checked in to make sure we were comfortable and confident. David executed our vision beautifully—everything turned out perfect. Shoutout to Leslie for bringing out hors d’oeuvres for us to enjoy while we waited to make our grand entrance to the reception. The food and drinks were a hit, the cake was delicious, and the vibes were immaculate. Our guests are still talking about how much fun they had.

Superb Catering by Abbey
Wedgewood Weddings provided catering services through Abbey Catering & Events for our December wedding in La Jolla, CA. We contacted the Abbey well ahead of time to receive a proposal for comparison with other catering groups. One of the reasons we leaned toward the Abbey is due to our initial conversations with Will Konecki. He was so enjoyable to speak with, and he helped hash out the initial details for our event. He provided us relevant documentation for menus, event rentals, and details on the included floral package. Will also made suggestions for cost-effective solutions to achieve the event atmosphere we wanted to provide for our guests. Will’s event experience allowed him to answer all of our questions, and he was very responsive via phone and email. We attended one of Abbey Catering’s tasting events where we met Will and other staff in person to taste the different appetizers and entrees. Some memorable favorites were the mini beef wellingtons, the feta-stuffed dates with bacon, and the sesame-soy glazed salmon. We were stuffed with all the food we tried, and we got to see some options for how the guest tables can be decorated. This is also where we met our assigned event manager. Our assigned event manager was Petr Trebin. As our event date got closer, Petr was very communicative of upcoming deadlines and requirements. Petr was extremely fun to work with. He shared excitement in all his communications with us and made sure we were taken care of well before the event. Petr was onsite throughout the duration of our event and went above and beyond in taking care of us. For example, he set aside a plate of all our appetizers and signature drinks inside the bridal suite room so we could eat our appetizers and drink our beverages in private without having to wait in line. Furthermore, he checked in on us throughout the event to make sure everything was going well and we didn’t have any questions or requests. Before the evening ended, Petr noticed that we barely got to touch our entrees due to being occupied with our guests so Petr packed two meals for us to take home as well as bites from our dessert bar. Petr was a pleasure to work with, and he made the experience wonderful from start to finish. Post-wedding, he shared with us all the photos and videos he took during the event which was a nice gesture. We highly recommend Abbey Catering for catering services for your wedding or any other event!

Amazing, especially Petr!
We hired Abbey Catering for our wedding and they were truly incredible. From start to finish, their team made everything feel smooth and stress-free, especially Petr, our wedding coordinator. I cannot say enough good things about him. He was so attentive, organized, and supportive, especially during the week of the wedding. He handled communication with all of our vendors, double-checked every detail, and honestly made my life so much easier. On the day of the wedding, my family couldn’t stop raving about how amazing he was. Petr checked in on us throughout the night, made sure we always had what we needed, saved appetizers and champagne for us during cocktail hour, and made sure we never missed a moment. He genuinely cared, and it showed. As a bonus, he captured the most amazing candid shots of us throughout the day. Everything turned out perfect, and I truly couldn’t have asked for a better coordinator or catering team. If you want a wedding that feels organized, supported, and stress-free, I highly recommend Abbey Catering. They were a dream to work with.
