I initially picked up a camera as a hobby, and then friends started asking me to do photography for them. Pretty soon I was doing photography for my friend's weddings, and I was hooked. Our favorite moments to capture are honest and unplanned, so we like to step back and film what happens naturally. We are based in West Chester, Pennsylvania. When my husband and I got married in 1994, I edited my own wedding video, creating a story of "us". I realized right then and there that I was most energized by personal and creative videography, and boom, Ries Video Productions was born! My time spent at NBC10 in Philadelphia as a photojournalist is when I refined my storytelling skills.
