“We booked Spike Events for our October wedding and Spenser was absolutely amazing! We had several meetings beforehand and he was on top of every concern we had. We had a wedding at a private residence outside, so electrical needs were tricky. Spenser was thorough in what he needed supplied from us and we were able to get the right electrical needs for both his sound system and the two arcade tables we rented. He also was such a fun personality to have around and added so much to the party! We have so many great photos of everyone up and dancing due to his skill of keeping things fun! He did a great job following our timeline and was very helpful in adding to it as needed when we weren't sure how to schedule things such as first dance, cake cutting and parental dances. We had aunts and uncles that I've NEVER seen dance, out on the floor tearing it up!You would not regret hiring this company! (Included in the review is the last dance of the night when everyone had gone home and my husband and I closed out the dance floor!)”

The amount of people who came up to us through out the night to comment on the music was the most rewarding feeling, because I completely agreed! The combination of live acoustic, with dj is so unique, stood out to everyone, and was worth every penny. The planning process with them was so easy, and they even put my mind at ease by just sharing their insights, while also listening to what we wanted. Joseph perform our first dance song live, which was my favorite part- it wasn’t your typical “slow” song, but we loved it anyways and he really executed it beautifully. We were all in awe of the whole experience. I ALMOST didn’t have them incorporate the live sing a long at the end, but after they described the vibe on our last call I changed my mind and let me say- I’m so glad they did it. One of my friends told me they felt like they were at a concert. We wish we could relive that night over and over again. “We hired DJ El Sid for our August 9th, 2025 wedding, and our reception was an absolute banger. Sid is super talented and is great at reading the crowd likely because he still actively DJs at clubs which is exactly what we were looking for. He had everyone on their feet dancing from our younger crowd of friends and cousins to our older family and friends. You know it’s a good party when you have a dachshund do the limbo and the men’s ties transfer to their head haha. We got SO many compliments on the DJ from our guests! Additionally, Sid did a fantastic job with the ceremony and grand entrances and dances, and MCing. We had 2-3 planning meetings with him via Zoom before the wedding, which were super helpful to get to know each other, ask questions, and share our music tastes and wishes. Fusion function also had an app where we could upload our songs for the ceremony, cocktail hour, entrances, first dances, and reception to keep everything organized and give Sid a vibe for our music style. “We decided on a DJ instead of a band for a few practical reasons. It's cheaper, there's more variety in what he/she can play and therefore can appeal to a broader audience, and most importantly for us, a DJ takes up less space than a band. We thought about foregoing a professional altogether and just doing the iPod thing, but I was afraid that it would stress me out. For anyone else who has done the DJ search, there is LOT of cheese out there! I received a packet from this one guy with all kinds of crazy rainbow colors and smiley faces and frankly, his voice on the phone scared me. We wanted a low-key DJ, not a show-boat. Tom was perfect. He totally delivered! He wore a tux and looked great. Call me shallow but that's important - the DJ is in the background of quite a few of the photos. He was professional and knew what to play to make everyone happy. He also played all of the songs we asked him to, which is not always a given. The reception was non-stop dancing all night. As a queer and trans couple it was really important to us to work with folks who understood our vision, and not only did they do that, they made our vision even better than we could have ever imagined. We hired them for both day-of coordination and DJ services, and they went above and beyond in both roles, Madelene coordinating our many vendors flawlessly, responding to our questions and panic moments within minutes, and Melinda spinning absolutely FIRE tunes that kept over 100 people on the dance floor for 3 straight hours.
