I was an active Franciscan Catholic priest for twelve years. I spent most of that time teaching both teens and adults. I took a year off when I met my wife. We are married 44 years, have two adult children and three grandkids. Since 2012 I have been involved with a group of Catholic priests that have left active ministry and now offer ourselves for couples who want a spiritual element to their ceremony, but not the church venue. Or perhaps a second marriage as well as other reasons.
