“We cannot say enough amazing things about our wedding baker! From start to finish, the experience was absolutely incredible. The tasting experience was super easy and stunning. Our traditional tiered cake was stunning, elegant, beautifully crafted, and topped with sugar flowers that were so realistic that I genuinely thought they were fake at first. The level of detail and artistry was beyond anything we imagined. I had tears in my eyes when I saw her bring in the cake. What truly set our baker apart, though, was her willingness to take on something completely unique. We asked for a “bleeding armadillo” cake inspired by Steel Magnolias (not exactly a typical wedding request but if you know, you know) and even though she wasn’t familiar with it, she absolutely nailed it! Not only did it look fantastic, but it was also delicious and a huge hit with our guests. After the tasting, we requested that the red velvet be a little darker for the effect of the bleeding armadillo from the movie. Again, she surpassed our expectations. Her creativity, skill, and dedication made our wedding desserts are truly unforgettable. “Amy was an absolute joy to work with! Because my husband is Peruvian American, we really wanted to have a dessert table at our reception (a Peruvian wedding tradition). We spent months trying to figure out how to make it happen without success when, miraculously, we stumbled upon Twin Treats on Zola. We reached out to Amy, who responded within hours. We were in Nashville for the weekend for wedding planning, and Amy threw together a tasting box for us with barely any notice. Every single dessert we sampled was scrumptious - it was difficult to choose only a handful for our wedding reception! For the big day, Amy went above and beyond, even learning how to make a traditional Peruvian cookie (the "alfajor") for the dessert table. She totally understood our vision for our wedding cake, too.
