Wedding cakes can range from $3–$15 per serving . Tiered cakes are more expensive than sheet cake styled cakes.

How should we cut our wedding cake?

Traditionally, you’d do a ceremonial cutting first, often holding hands on the knife. The caterer then takes the cake away and cuts it into slices to distribute to guests. If you’re slicing it up yourselves, take apart the tiers and cut them into small rectangles. Remember to wrap and freeze the top layer for your anniversary!

How should we transport our wedding cake?

Very carefully! Ideally, your cake will be delivered by your bakery, which should have plenty of experience transporting cakes. You can also purchase special boxes made to protect the tiers.

When should we order our wedding cake?

Set up tastings (the fun part!) around 7 months out. Once you’ve decided, place your order.

Our daughter had a floral 'Alice in Wonderland'-ish wedding and Yessie worked with us making sure she got all the details exactly right for the cake. Our daughter wanted bright floral colors in the desserts with a bit of woodland look. Yessie took all this into consideration and really came thru to execute the look/feel our daughter wanted. I explained how our wedding was in an outdoor, gardeny setting and she took the theme and not just ran, but SPRINTED with it (teeny cupcakes served out of teacups?? Like, cmon now). Erin created the most gorgeous desserts I have ever seen in my life that were so exceptionally tasty as well. She is so fast to respond, so receptive and so amazingly talented. She is punctual and so reliable. Erin took inspiration from a picture of a bouquet I also sent my florist and made it come to life on our cupcakes. From afar, I thought she found real florals to decorate the desserts with or something. Only up close could you tell it was her carefully and gorgeously crafted work. Her broad menu and offer to take requests made it so easy to build a well rounded menu that my husband and I, and our guests will remember for a very long time. We wound up having cupcakes, mini donuts, various cheesecakes, crumb cake and a small cutting cake. I couldn’t choose a favorite and had leftovers to enjoy for nearly a whole week following our wedding. We love you, Erin!!! Thank you for being such a big part of our wedding day.”

“Amy was an absolute joy to work with! Because my husband is Peruvian American, we really wanted to have a dessert table at our reception (a Peruvian wedding tradition). We spent months trying to figure out how to make it happen without success when, miraculously, we stumbled upon Twin Treats on Zola. We reached out to Amy, who responded within hours. We were in Nashville for the weekend for wedding planning, and Amy threw together a tasting box for us with barely any notice. Every single dessert we sampled was scrumptious - it was difficult to choose only a handful for our wedding reception! For the big day, Amy went above and beyond, even learning how to make a traditional Peruvian cookie (the "alfajor") for the dessert table. She totally understood our vision for our wedding cake, too.
