About this venue

First opened in 1938 by theatrical showman and impresario Billy Rose, the Diamond Horseshoe was known for dinner theaters, vaudeville-style reviews, and a chorus of showgirls called “Billy Rose’s Long-Stemmed Beauties.” Since being taken over by new owners Blue Note Entertainment Group and dubbed Sony Hall for our 2018 reopening, the landmark space has been restored and now offers a personalized experience for any private event as a full-service venue.

      With an open floor plan, two full bars and the ability to create a catwalk, as well as an additional center stage, Sony Hall can be reinvented to suit your personalized specifications. Our venue includes three distinct spaces that can be used to fit your needs for any occasion. Main Ballroom: perfect for larger events (up to 500 seated or 1,000 standing) Upstairs bar: great for medium sized events (up to 65) Newly restored speakeasy: perfect for an intimate affair (up to 40) We employ a team of planners who can map out every detail of your experience, whether you’re using our space for business or something personal.
