    Above and Beyond

    Happy Planning Events absolutely nailed our wedding. Tanya went above and beyond the call of duty on every, single task. The way she kept everything running perfectly on time. The way everything was scheduled and communicated for weeks in advance. The way Tanya and Olivia handled all these little random tasks on the wedding day that could have driven us crazy if we'd had to deal with them. Tanya actually weaved the hand fasting rope we tied the knot with. I was trying to make it myself and had all these random spools of rope and ribbon. The project was going nowhere until she saw my struggle and turned it into art only hours before showtime. On top of that, we planned sort of a complicated ceremony. It had a whole script, narration, musical accompaniment, fire, even sound cues. Happy Planning Events nailed every moment. They were there for us for the welcome party the night prior to the wedding all the way through to the farewell brunch the day after. All the vendors mentioned how pleased they were with Happy Planning's communication throughout the process leading up to the event too. Tanya was creative throughout the process and worked hard to help us bring our most complicated ideas to reality. In particular, she figured out how to do creative scheduling that allowed us to welcome our guests into the reception room instead of following the traditional method of seating the guests and having a grand entrance for the couple. It was a perfect day. It's meaningful when planning the wedding makes you want to marry the person more. We couldn't have nailed it without the incredible creativity and support of Happy Planning Events. Thank you so much!

    Day of Wedding Coordination

    Tanya, at Happy Planning Events provided exceptional communication and coordination services for my daughter's wedding. Tanya was extremely organized, detailed, and went above and beyond what was listed in her contract. On the day of the wedding, when my daughter forgot her son's shoes, Tanya immediately jumped into action and retrieved them from the hotel in less than 10 minutes. I knew then that I had selected the right coordinator for our special day.     My Experience : A Cautionary Review

    My Experience with Happy Planning Events: A Cautionary Review I’m writing this review to share my experience with Tanya from Happy Planning Events in hopes of helping others avoid the stress and disappointment I endured. My wedding venue was canceled due to Tanya’s poor communication and failure to clearly explain basic contract terms. As a professional planner, she should have guided me with clarity—but instead, I was left misinformed and overwhelmed. What was marketed as a “stress-free” planning experience turned into a source of constant stress and confusion. Tanya lacked organization and attention to detail, especially on the wedding day. Rather than focusing on ensuring my event ran smoothly, she spent her time socializing with vendors—more concerned with future opportunities than my actual wedding. She failed to keep track of the timeline, which led to important moments being missed, like my father-daughter dance and bouquet toss. She stayed inside in the air conditioning most of the night, disconnected from the flow of the event, and more focused on eating than supporting me or my husband. I hired Tanya six months before the wedding for day-of coordination only. Though I didn’t ask for early involvement, she insisted on helping and started communicating with my venue. Within two months, she frustrated the property manager so much that I had to step in—and eventually, he canceled our contract. I was forced to find a new venue just two months before the wedding. Even with the new venue, Tanya caused similar issues, upsetting yet another property manager. Several vendors told me the same thing: “Your planner is unprofessional and lacks basic knowledge of wedding coordination.” I stayed hopeful that she would rise to the occasion on the big day, but unfortunately, that didn’t happen. Tanya had no sense of flow or presence during the wedding. As our officiant, she didn’t ask the DJ for a microphone—despite one being available—so guests couldn’t hear the ceremony. She also forgot to cue guests to stand during my entrance, something we had specifically discussed. A guest had to step in to make it happen. She frequently agreed to tasks but failed to follow through. I constantly had to remind her of details or tell her how to fix issues myself. Once she was paid, her effort dropped significantly. She required guidance at every step and didn’t take initiative. If you’re looking for a planner to reduce your workload, this is not the one. To make matters worse, she was seen vaping in front of my guests—completely unprofessional and inappropriate. When she finally did get on the mic, instead of providing important announcements, she focused on unrelated matters like moving cars—something that could’ve easily been handled behind the scenes. In the end, my experience with Happy Planning Events was full of broken promises, poor communication, and added stress. Tanya prioritized networking with vendors over the needs of her actual clients and showed little understanding of how to manage a wedding professionally. If you’re searching for a true, experienced planner who can deliver what they promise, I strongly suggest looking elsewhere.
