At the Mardi Gras School of Cooking, we invite you and your wedding party to step off Wilkinson Street and into the heart of our culinary heritage. Whether it’s a rehearsal dinner or a festive bachelorette gathering, our 2 to 3-hour immersive experiences are designed to be the 'main event' of your wedding weekend. Your guests won’t just eat—they’ll learn the secrets of the Crescent City while creating a meal that celebrates the spirit of the French Quarter. An immersive journey into the soul of New Orleans, where culinary tradition and historic French Quarter charm collide.
Housed on historic Wilkinson Street, our main campus is the premier destination for couples seeking an authentic New Orleans experience. This versatile space blends the elegance of a banquet hall with the energy and soul of a professional kitchen. Specializing in 2.5 to 3-hour storytelling sessions, we move beyond the standard dinner to offer an interactive celebration of Creole and Cajun heritage. It’s the perfect backdrop for a rehearsal dinner or welcome party that tastes like home.

Full use of our professional demonstration kitchen, premium tables and seating, all culinary materials, and expert-led storytelling. Our packages include a multi-course meal (2 entrees and 1 dessert), curated beverage pairings, and the expertise of our chefs. Enhancements like live local painters, mobile photo booth, or Second Line parades are available upon request.

An expansive, historic venue for larger celebrations, where the rich culinary traditions of New Orleans are brought to life on a grand scale.
For larger wedding parties, the Second Line Suite offers an elevated experience just steps away from our main Wilkinson Street campus. Designed to host groups from 40 to 100+, this space maintains the intimate storytelling and warmth of a private kitchen with the capacity of a grand banquet hall. Whether it’s a full-scale rehearsal dinner or a festive welcome reception, we bring the same heritage-driven culinary expertise to a setting that allows your entire guest list to celebrate together.

Truly unique NOLA experience!
The Mardi Gras School of Cooking provided the perfect backdrop for our wedding festivities. The interactive cooking class was the perfect way to break the ice between our two families. Great food, wonderful instructors, and a beautiful location right in the heart of the city. Highly recommend for any couple looking for something different!

Authentic, Delicious, and Stress-Free
As food lovers, we wanted our guests to experience the real New Orleans. The chefs at the Wilkinson Street campus were incredible—they managed our large group with ease while teaching us how to make some of the best food we had all week. The atmosphere is intimate and authentic, and the team handled every detail perfectly. It was the most unique and delicious part of our wedding celebration!!
