Hey there! I'm Laura Sparks, an elopement photographer based in Asheville, NC. I help couples have a wedding day that is unique and stress-free! Providing epic and heartfelt photography for couples who love the outdoors. Make the mountains of Western North Carolina and Tennessee your backdrop as you say "I do!". LGBTQ+ owned and operated. All are welcome here!

I 1000% believe eloping or having an intimate wedding is the best way to get married! I've called the Blue Ridge Mountains "home" for more than 17 years so you can be rest assured I will help you through the adventure elopement process!     The BEST Adventure Elopement Photographer

    Laura naturally makes couples feel comfortable and at ease, which is pretty important during your wedding portrait shoot. She's so down-to-earth and fun to work with whether it's a true elopement or an intimate ceremony (with a handful of guests). As an officiant, I love working with other vendors who are true team players and that is Laura. I always feel like it's a collaborative effort to ensure that each couple we've had the pleasure of working for has a memorable wedding experience. I wouldn't hesitate recommending Laura to anyone but especially couples looking for an adventure off the beaten path!

    Powerfully personal and beautifully authentic

    Laura from Sparks in the Forest has been so incredible to work with. She has done our engagement and elopement photos and will also being doing our wedding celebration photos May of next year. Not only does Laura work tirelessly to give you the best photos ever, she does so in a way that puts you at ease and brings out your best self. She has a way of drawing out your personality (as individuals and as a couple), and the result is stunning photos that feel organic and authentic.     Just Hire Her Already!!

    Let me count the ways that Laura is the best...and you would regret not having her capture your day. From the first moment you reach out to her she will take time to get to know you, your ideas you have for your day, go over options that may also fit your dreams that you may not have thought of, and give you the best quotes and jokes from start to finish. She makes you feel comfortable and at ease with the day and is always willing to go with the flow....and the weather in western NC is always all over the place so that's always a fantastic trait to have. Laura keeps up with her communication, gives amazing vendor recommendations if you're missing something, and can offer the best options for places to have your ceremony and additional pictures if you want a change of background scenery. Long story short, Laura is simply the best...movie quotes and all.
