hey you! thanks for dropping by. my name is shelby, and i am a queer artist and manhattan based photographer who specializes in weddings + equine portraiture. my priority as a photographer is developing a personal relationship with each and every one of my clients (two or four legged). your special moments are their most pure when you are comfortable and ready to just have fun, and i am here to create that joyful space.
with me, you get it all: cheerleader, planner, list keeper, and leader. your wedding day is huge with billions of details. i am a self-described enthusiastic fly-on-the-wall. i am right there when groups need to be organized and shots need to be set up, but dissolve into the background for intimate moments and lively dancing. it's your day to relax, have fun, and laugh... and it's my job to capture it all.

The engagement photos of our dreams!
Shelby is the absolute best! She took engagement photos for my fiancé and I, and we truly could not have asked for a better experience or results. From the moment we booked Shelby, she was communicative, organized, friendly, and just as enthusiastic and excited about taking the photos as we were. She went above and beyond in helping us choose the perfect locations for the shoot and making sure we felt comfortable and were having fun throughout the session. During the shoot, Shelby maintained the perfect balance of encouraging us to do what felt physically comfortable and natural for us, but also wasn't afraid to give us small adjustments (like moving a hand a certain way, shifting the angle of a body, softening a smile slightly, etc.) that ensured the photos looked natural and beautiful. She immediately put both of us at ease and spent time getting to know us by asking questions about our relationship, how we normally interact with each other, if there's anything we definitely did or did not want from the photos, etc. Maybe most importantly - we both had SO much fun during our time with her. Not only are the photos themselves a great keepsake, but it's so nice to be able to think back to our engagement photos as such a joyous, fun experience. The photos Shelby delivered are all gorgeous, and she did an amazing job at capturing a huge variety of poses, backgrounds, lighting, etc. She even went back and did a little extra editing on a couple of photos that we wanted to use for our save the date to ensure we loved absolutely everything about the pictures. I truly could not recommend her more highly!!

Best friend and fairy godmother all in one!
From the first phone call, we knew Shelby was the one. Her energy is so warm and genuine and made us feel like we were reconnecting with an old friend instead of booking a wedding vendor. She ran our photo timeline with ease while keeping the vibe fun and stress-free. She was always one step ahead, especially when it came to reminding us to hydrate! We are both camera shy, but Shelby made us feel incredibly comfortable. She gave us space to be ourselves and never made anything feel forced or overly posed. We got our sneak peeks just days after the wedding, and we were absolutely blown away. Every photo was filled with emotion, movement, and authenticity with an editorial quality. Made my day even more special!!!
After lots of searching for a photographer that I felt would capture the love, emotion, and little details of my special day I came across Shelby and I’m so thrilled that I did. From the beginning Shelby was invested in my husband and I’s vision and I could tell she cared about the execution as much as I did. When it came to our wedding day Shelby was more than a photographer, she was there to make sure I had everything I needed and felt my best in front of the lens. She quickly became such a vital part of my special day and captured everything I could’ve wanted and more. GENUINELY the absolute best
I don’t even know where to start when it comes to Shelby. To put into perspective how much I absolutely love her work, we not only hired her for our city hall wedding, but also hired her and her partner Jordan (videographer) for our big wedding. They also just photographed my cousin Kate’s wedding this past weekend. Kate met Shelby and Jordan at my big wedding, and absolutely fell in love with not only their work, but them as people. My partner and I aren’t good at taking photos. We are very awkward, and feel uncomfortable being the center of attention. But Shelby made it SO EASY and SO FUN for us. Not only were our photos beyond our expectations, the video Jordan created for us was absolutely out of this world. They are such incredible human beings, and both so talented. I plan to use Shelby and Jordan for every event in the future.
