Hi I'm Shannon, I was raised in the city of Los Angeles, but now reside in the Blue Ridge Mountains. I describe my photography approach as a "directed documentary". I love to blend more traditional money shots (the big kiss, walking down the aisle, first dances) with a photojournalistic angle that feels like natural snapshots rather than posed photos. My firm belief is that great photos can only reflect what naturally unfolds on your big day. I focus on candids, guest reactions, and photographing anything that helps tell a complete, and unique story. My goal is that anyone who looks at your gallery feels what it was like to be there.

I want your photos to feel like a work of art, but I don't believe it requires you to feel like you're participating in an 8-hour (personal information protected by Zola) only get married once, and when you're old and grey, I want you to remember participating in every aspect of the day, not just photography. Weddings are about so much more, and I believe when you leave room for those in-between moments, that's where the magic lies. I work with all my couples to develop a timeline that prioritizes quality time, face to face time with their loved ones and maximizes their experience of the day.
