Hi, I'm Madalyn Muncy-Piens, the lady behind the lens over here at Madalyn Muncy Photography. I'm not into being the center of attention so I keep your wedding ALL ABOUT YOU. I'm all about balance, so I'm the perfect combination of organized and flexible, proactive yet not overbearing, knowledgeable but not bossy, and a comforting presence both with and without a camera in hand. When you hire me, you get someone who genuinely cares about comparing photos of our dogs, sharing recipes for dinner, and listening to your book recommendations.     An Incredible Photographer and Person!

    Madalyn Muncy was the photographer of our dreams. What initially drew us to her was her beautiful photos and that she is LGBTQ affirming. Then when my partner and I met with her, and we got to experience what an awesome, supportive, friendly, talented, and organized person she is. She was supportive and available throughout our wedding planning process – helping us envision what we wanted our day to look like, and to develop a timeline that helped us make that vision come to life. When we met to finalize plans before our wedding day, she created space for us to share with her our hopes for photos and any last-minute worries we had so that she could know how best to support us through the day. On our wedding day, Madalyn was proactive in helping us capture the love we share as a couple, beautiful and treasured family photos, and an abundance of candid shots of us speaking and singing and dancing. For one family member who had some insecurities about their appearance due to health changes, Madalyn was thoughtful in finding ways to capture absolutely gorgeous photos of them that we will treasure forever. A while after our wedding, this family member told us that Madalyn had made an effort to provide them some kind reassurance throughout the wedding day that she’d captured some really great shots of them. She has a gift in communicating with people of all ages (from young kids to older adults) to help them pose for genuine, beautiful photos. And wow, when we received our photo gallery, we shared so many happy tears. Madalyn had captured the most beautiful photos that tell the full story of our day, and we will treasure them for the rest of our lives. She has a gift in photography, editing, and we were deeply grateful for the opportunity to have her with us to capture our wedding day. We would HIGHLY recommend her for any of your photography needs.

    Madalyn is the best

    We hired Madalyn to take our engagement photos and to photograph our wedding, and she was the absolute best. From the very beginning, she was super on top of everything, with multiple questionnaires over the course of the year leading up to our wedding. She made a schedule for our wedding day that we were able to share with the rest of our vendors and included so many useful details. Besides how organized and pleasant Madalyn was to work with, her photographs were incredible. She captured so much joy in her pictures and we could not be happier that we hired her for our wedding.

    A dream come true!

    Working with Madalyn is dream a come true! I will say that a hundred times over. Throughout our wedding planning process, especially in this time of change and uncertainty, we couldn’t help but to compare all our other vendors to Madalyn and the way she runs her business. No one else even measured close! Madalyn is organized, proactive, supportive, honest, and obviously has an eye for both detail and aesthetic. Our communications with Madalyn leading up to our day were a perfect balance of face-to-face conversations and seamless digital interactions. When our wedding day finally arrived we felt like we really knew her and completely trusted her. I thought we couldn’t love Madalyn anymore, but then we received the final product -our gallery. Madalyn captured a thousand memories so perfectly that we’ll truly treasure forever. A particular photo is so classically beautiful that we exclaimed, “That’s it! That’s the photo we’ll show our grandchildren someday.” Thank you again, Madalyn!

    Beautiful & Natural Photography

    I hired Madalyn for my wedding in 2020, and have since recommended her to every bride I've met! No one in my family was necessarily comfortable in front of the camera, but Madalyn has a way of calming people and getting them to relax. We have beautiful posed photos from our wedding, but some of my favorites were the natural, candid shots! Additionally, she is always responsive and timely; she delivered sneak peeks of our pictures just days after our wedding, and the rest of our photos came exactly when she set the expectation for delivery. If you're looking for a vendor who is personable, calming, and kind, she's your gal!

    Fantastic Professional Photography

    Madalyn was probably the best photographer we could have asked for, it was like having a friend instead of a vendor throughout the day. She just does a great job of capturing candid and genuine emotion, and after getting all of our photos back we loved how she was able to capture us (and pretty much everyone else) looking great and having fun without being overly posed. In addition, she was so incredibly organized and professional throughout the entire process, she got us our timeline and I was able to use that to build the rest of our day-of-schedule around it. She communicated early and often and always made sure she got the list of required photos we wanted so we didn’t miss anything. Since she also hadn’t photographed at our venue before, she set up her own meeting with the venue before the wedding to get a tour and walk-through so it wasn’t a surprise on the day of the wedding. She was assertive when she needed to be to wrangle our families for photos but otherwise was extremely flexible in getting shots if the plans changed! Especially since our wedding was late in the winter and we decided against a first look, she made sure to have a lighting assistant on hand to help coordinate additional flash and we got some great evening photos, and the second shooter who helped out had some awesome ideas for important shots too. Also, she got us engagement photo sneak peeks within 24 hours and got us our wedding sneak peeks (40+ photos!) within 48 hours of our wedding. She just made the entire planning experience and photo sessions so comfortable and fun.
