I work with couples who want more than a script, crafting ceremonies that reflect your relationship, values, and the life you’re building. As a non-denominational officiant serving Maryland & Washington, DC, I welcome couples of all backgrounds, including interfaith, LGBTQ, Jewish, Christian, and blended families. What began as officiating a wedding for friends has grown into a passion for creating meaningful, personalized ceremonies. I bring a calm, reassuring presence so you can be fully present for every moment.

With more than 25 years in hospitality and the wedding world, I bring a calm, steady presence to your day. I’ll guide you through the process with care and intention so you can feel fully present in each moment—especially the ones you’ll remember forever. At the heart of it all, my goal is simple: for you to feel seen, supported, and truly represented as you say “I do.”

    Amazing officiant

    Laura married my husband and i in October 2024. She made it so special! Without knowing us she crafted her speech to fit us perfectly. During my vows I got emotional as one would and she comforted me which was so special for me. She gave us our vow book that she read off of which is such a beautiful momento to have from our special day. She was also gracious enough to mail off our copy to the court house. I highly recommend Laura for your wedding!

    The Only Person I Wanted to Officiate My Wedding

    Having Laura from Meet You at the Altar officiate our wedding was one of the best decisions we made.     Officiated a perfect ceremony

    Laura was fantastic. She met with us multiple times before the event to formulate our perfect ceremony. She clearly has lots of experience as she was able to give us many options to choose from when creating the custom officiant script. The day of, she led it beautifully and it was unforgettable. Would highly recommend!
