Lead Planner

Born from my own real wedding day washed in rain, April Showers Events is built on one simple truth: when the unexpected occurs, the real magic happens. As a mother, daughter, wife and sister I know the importance of celebrating big moments. I also know the value of having reliable help to ensure that the party you've planned is also one that you get to enjoy. I am a storyteller at heart and find event coordination a most delightful medium - for all celebrations tell someone's story, be it the beginning, middle or end. My passion is discovering the best way to tell yours.

I'm a people-person by nature - my coffee mug says so! - and I make friends everywhere I go (including in line at the grocery store, much to my family's chagrin ;) I love style and whimsy and am passionate about uncovering my clients' uniqueness. Plus, I bring a cozy and gets-the-job-done mom energy to every project upon which I work. ;)

90 Days Event Coordination

Description

Meet with me virtually weekly starting 90 days before your event and I'll take over steering the event planning ship so that you can start to breathe again! You'll have me in person to rehearse your ceremony the week of as well as support you for 10 hours on the Big Day.

Wedding Officiant

Description

Ordained by the Universal Life Church and MFA'd in Theatre Arts from The New School University in NYC, I delight in the opportunity to help you make things official. Though your love is already written in the stars, I will help you legalize and proclaim it before your loved ones! You can expect a personal, customized format that suits you and your beloved to perfection, incorporating as little or as much of your personal input that you prefer.

    Life Saver! Wonderful Wedding Coordinator

    Dana became our wedding coordinator last minute after we had a negative experience with another coordinator, and we couldn't be happier that we ended up with her! She got to work right away catching up on all the details quickly and had such a positive attitude the entire process despite the last minute rush. We had a huge wedding party, and Dana was able to help us through the challenge of rehearsing the ceremony with them when our venue wasn't available the night prior, and made sure everyone was where they need to be the day of. She was the perfect mix of professional, positive and bubbly to make sure that everything went smoothly but also didn't feel stressful! She was always available when we needed her and she went above and beyond when working with our vendors to ensure all dots were connected. We loved working with Dana and couldn't recommend her more to make your day seamless and stress free. She is the best, and we consider her a friend after working with her!

    The BEST!

    Dana was by far the most helpful/standout of the wedding crew and we couldn’t have done it without her!! She had amazing energy from the start, and always found opportunities to step up and help out - for example: we had thought our dinner was a set menu but it turned out they were taking orders! Dana stepped in to ask every guest their order and coordinate with the service team. She took the time to connect with us, and truly celebrate with us/celebrate us! She was an integral part of making the day perfect and I cannot recommend her enough!!!
