    Lack of Honesty and Transparency

    Candelaria Beauty should work on transparency and honesty with prospective clients. I submitted an inquiry to Candelaria about a month ago and received an immediate response and talked with Cassie the same day. At the time we spoke, she stated that other people had inquired about my date, but something should work (even going as far as to say that people with my wedding planner got some sort of preference). The phone call ended with her saying she would send me a proposal that evening. When the proposal did not come, I followed up one week later and received no response. Two weeks later, I received an email from Cassie saying that after our phone call she realized that she could not put together a team for me, followed by some boilerplate rhetoric about how she wants only people she knows that can fit my wedding needs to help me. This email honestly came too late. If there was any issue with availability that needs to be immediately communicated. The wedding industry can be complex and stressful. Especially, when it comes to ensuring availability of the vendors you want. Waiting this long to express an availability issue put me at a disadvantage for reaching out to other vendors (I have done so but after speaking with Candelaria they were my top pick and I wanted to wait for a proposal). This all comes after I expressed to Candelaria that scheduling makeup was my biggest wedding stressor. After this experience, their concern for their customers and interest in their "special day" rings hollow. From other reviews, this seems to be a common theme. This practice is unprofessional and hurts people. They seem really nice and like they are talented makeup artists. However, they need to work on their communication and transparency instead of stringing prospective clients along.

    Thank You Cassie!

    Cassie and Jess were excellent to work with for hair and makeup on the day of my wedding. I had some changes with my bridal party that they were flexible to accomodate. Everyone's hair and makeup turned out beautifully--exactly what each of us wanted--and lasted all night.
