I am a professional guitarist and musician based in Michigan. My solo offerings feature classical, jazz, and pop guitar selections suitable for wedding ceremonies, receptions, corporate, private, and community events. A variety of classical, jazz, pop and Celtic/folk ensembles are available showcasing talented violin, saxophone, flute, and mandolin instrumentalists & vocalists, who can join me for your event.

I've done well over 1000 wedding ceremonies and receptions since 1990 as an instrumental classical/jazz/pop guitarist and with various ensembles throughout Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, and Illinois. Classical guitar is a portable piano. I use state of the art battery powered amplification that includes wireless lapel microphone for use in the service.     Creating a Romantic Atmosphere

    Robert McCloy played at our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour as part of a beautiful violin and guitar duo, and they were absolutely wonderful. The music created such an elegant and romantic atmosphere, and we had so many guests mention how lovely it was to have live strings during those moments. Robert was professional, easy to work with, and incredibly talented. We couldn’t have asked for a better musical backdrop for our day—highly recommend!

    AMAZING!!!!

    Robert was truly amazing to work with and went above and beyond from start to finish. We met early on to plan the event and again closer to the date to go over all the details, his care and professionalism showed every step of the way. He and the other musicians made our wedding so special. All of our guests couldn’t stop talking about how incredible the band was and how it added the perfect touch of flair to the day. Robert truly brought my vision to life, from the elegant ceremony to the lively cocktail hour even teaming up with our DJ to keep the energy high throughout the reception.
