“Petals& Leaves was exceptional to work with. From our first zoom meeting to get an idea of my vision to bringing that vision to life via the inspiration document and adapting to updates throughout the process. They even were able to incorporate ribbon from my great grandmother’s wedding into my bouquet. We paid for full service and it was so worth it, the table centerpieces looked great, and all we had to do at the end of the night were take our bouquets’s. “Because of all the florals already there due to the nature of the venue, and all the florals and plants they filled in, I didn’t feel the need to have a ton of florals, so I did them myself! I found Flower Moxie here on Zola and they were so great! If you are thinking about DIY’ing your florals, I would definitely recommend looking into Flower Moxie! They have some set packages you can chose from, but I upgraded to the highest personalized package and it was so worth it. I got to have a phone call with the florist and they put together a custom package, and they definitely killed it, the flowers were exactly what I had in mind. There were so many resources and they went through everything so well I felt so prepared and we had almost no issues putting all the florals together. All of our florals still looked fresh and beautiful on our wedding day, and some of the florals in our arch arrangements lasted WEEKS. A word of caution though: it is definitely a lot of work, so just ensure that you have enough time in town before your wedding (i.e. you can’t fly in the day before your ceremony, if you are traveling to that location) and enough people to help you (for putting together, transporting and anything day of). I actually really enjoyed getting to do my florals myself, and would highly recommend if you are creative and DIYing your wedding!”

“Back in 2021, Alyssa was our florist and day of coordinator. As soon as we hired her, she immediately jumped into action and was very responsive and willing to work with us. When I told her my vision for what kind of flowers I wanted she sent me over some ideas that she had as well as responded to some of the ideas I sent to her. It felt like we were a team the entire time and she made me feel comfortable, and that my opinion was wanted. As our day of coordinator, she made sure to communicate with all of our vendors and facilitate the events of the day in a way that made sense for all those involved. “The flowers (on our order) came in large boxes, but they were not labeled, so it took a minute to get the flowers both identified and properly set up. To be fair we were warned about the process, but not about the length of time due to our inexperience. As a note, it took my fiancé 5 hours to process the flowers when first receiving them. I also did not have any updates from them from the time I ordered till they were being shipped. They were beyond more affordable compared to other florists, and the flowers arrived alive and in good spirits. We were able to keep the flowers alive for over four days!! Many of the flowers that we chose did not have specific instructions, so we had to follow the general reference for the flowers and hope for the best. Additionally, some of the flowers that we wanted were not in stock, and they were replaced for us with substitutes but were not notified until we had all of the flowers already delivered to us. Also, as a note, bloom culture uses third party sellers for their flowers, so the quality may vary depending on location. Our flowers were in good condition, and the company we had clearly took good care of the flowers prior to delivering them to us. Would we do it again? Probably not, but it made for good laughs and bonding time and we have stories to tell from it!”
