“Ne'Kea and the Art of Beauty team were impeccable. I needed someone who could do both makeup and hair, and my wedding party had a spectrum of races, skin tones and hair types. This was not a problem at all for Ne'Kea and her team. Contacting her was easy and her responsiveness was prompt and professional. She worked with me to schedule my trial, which could have been a challenge because I live in New York and the wedding was in Baltimore. We ended up doing the trial near me in New Jersey and it couldn't have been more convenient. We had some last minute schedule changes with my bridal party on the day of the wedding and the team handled it easily. And my makeup and hair were exactly what I had envisioned. Everything was perfection!”

“Shimmer for You was great to work with! I did a trial with Jaime a few months ahead of time, and then adjusted things as needed day of. Jaime and her team did hair and makeup for me, 5 bridesmaids, and 2 moms. Everything went smoothly, and we were done on time. My hair looked bigger than I wanted day of, and we had enough time for Jaime to adjust it so it looked exactly how I wanted. I had worried that wedding makeup and lashes would look to heavy on me since I don’t usually wear much makeup (and I saw some full glam photos on the Zola profile), but the soft look Jaime did for me was perfect- I still looked like myself, but shimmery. I was also worried about foundation and lip colors looking too orange or yellow on me since I’m very fair with cool/pink undertones, but the color match was perfect, and we tried out a few lip colors at the trial to get it perfect. The moms and bridesmaids love their hair and makeup too! I absolutely recommend Shimmer for You!”

Before my trial they gave me opportunity to share inspo pics they could see exactly what I wanted. I sent the pictures and when I went to the trial both Liseth and Andy listened and did a great job. I did make a few changes however, I did love my look and the changes were very minor. On the day of the wedding both Liseth and Andy were on time and they did an awesome job on everyone’s hair and makeup. I wanted a lighter natural look that was slightly more glam than I normally am and a braided updo. I hadn't had the chance to do a trial due to time and budget constraints on my end, and she was able to put any worries I had at ease, go off of the inspo pictures I had and come up with a hairstyle I loved. “My hair is naturally frizzy, thick, and curly. Somehow, Katherine wrangled it into a beautiful, sleek-yet-whimsical updo for my wedding. Despite it drizzling and being a little humid, my hair didn’t fall, frizz, or budge ALL NIGHT on my wedding day. My bridesmaids, mom, and MIL also looked amazing all night — and she did all of her hair on her own! Her services were an incredible value and she is wildly efficient. She really did an incredible job, from fully blowing out my mom’s hair to (with enthusiastic permission) cutting and fixing my maid of honor’s bangs so their hair looked perfect. She helped me test out tons of styles and tiny tweaks at my trial and the morning of to make sure I was 100% happy. I would say things like “I want more of *gestures vaguely at the top of my head*” or “I want less this *grabs random pieces of hair*” and she created a masterpiece. She just GETS it and was an absolute pleasure to work with throughout the entire process. My hair looked absolutely incredible for hours through sweat and rain and a veil being popped on and off. Booking Katherine was one of the best choices I made for my wedding!! Her prices are so fair and I cannot recommend her highly enough.”
