“Everyone says “Something will go wrong on your wedding day.” They don’t know the magic of the Morris Estate. It’s impossible to describe how perfect our wedding day was, not only for me and my husband, but also our wedding party and our families. Everyone involved got to spend the long weekend relaxing, having fun, and celebrating at this beautiful property without any worry of getting assigned random tasks or cleanup duties— the Morris Estate staff was ON IT every step of the way. At the helm was Ryan Bergstrom, our coordinator, who made the incredibly complicated task of planning a wedding feel easy. As an artist, I wanted every element to be unique and intentional, and was quite frankly worried that the Estate wouldn’t be amenable to a more avant-garde event. I approached them with the idea of hanging a large tapestry painting in the chapel and they got right to work with how they could make that happen. There were no requests that went unheard, and it was clear Ryan was a fantastic collaborator and coordinator in all aspects of planning. Plus, anything or anyone that you need, they have a great recommendation on deck— we found this to be true when seeking an officiant for our ceremony as well as a florist. Trudi and Cherry Road Homestead knocked the florals out of the park. The actual wedding ceremony couldn’t have gone more smoothly, with a comprehensive rehearsal in the chapel and the changing rooms in the basement, everyone was able to get ready on time and relax leading up to the ceremony. With about 100 people in it, the chapel felt intimate but gave guests plenty of room to breathe. It was a short, beautiful ceremony that was tailored exactly to our needs as a couple. Yet another fabulous aspect of working with the Morris Estate was the ease of transition throughout events. Cocktails were in guests’ hands before I could even finish bustling my dress. We never felt rushed, yet everything managed to happen on time. Ryan did a great job taking the time beforehand to meet any vendors not directly from the Estate, so everyone knew exactly what they needed to do their part. The reception was unbelievable. I’ve planned other events, designed movie sets and installation art, and was truly blown away by what they accomplished. It was so exciting to see all of the love and hard work that went into making our vision come to life and see the excitement on guests’ faces when they walked into the tent. It was colorful, magical and totally surreal. Now, to talk about the food. With the estate catering both the rehearsal dinner and reception we got to try just about everything on the menu. We were very pleasantly surprised at our tasting before the wedding. The Estate Manager Nate, Chef Tom and their team had tons of options for us that were as beautiful as they were delicious. Arguably, the most difficult part of working with the Morris Estate was having to pick just a few of the options for our customized menu because they were all. so. good. Our guests had so many kind words about how fun and joyous the entire evening was, and instead of worrying who was going to help clean up at the end of the night, the Morris Estate had it fully covered. Everything was organized back into boxes for us to take home the next morning. I’m sure I’m forgetting so many other wonderful things that the staff did for us, but we will forever be grateful for such an incredible long weekend full of love and celebration. TLDR: Everything was perfect.”

“My husband and I got married at Meyer's Castle in early November, 2025. It was the most beautiful day ever, no matter that it was cold and rainy! We first fell in love with the venue when we toured in August 2024, and then after seeing a few other venues we went back to Meyer's for another tour and booked it. Everyone was so excited about the venue and still talks about it. Our coordinator Eva was a rock star on the day of the wedding! She was so helpful in reassuring me and getting me answers leading up to the wedding, but nothing can surpass how amazing she was on the day off. She took care of everything! She managed problems without me having to even hear them, she advocated for us, she helped decorate, and made us feel seen and taken care of. It began to rain shortly before the ceremony time and she made sure we got the idyllic outdoor ceremony of our dreams, and had umbrellas on hand as needed. She was there for the entire day and my sister couldn't stop singing her praises! We loved our wedding so much and highly recommend Meyer's Castle and Eva! Our photographer said the venue was a photographers dream, we got compliments on the food, and everyone had a great time! A day I would happily revisit anytime.”

“We recently got married at SHC and Patti was super knowledgeable and knows her stuff. When we visited the venue, I felt comfortable trusting her and her team and loved the venue space/vibe. The outside is beautiful modern white/black and greenery/forest feel along with a patio space and fireplace while the inside is also modern, elegant, and has a great cozy walk in seating space and bar as well. Despite rain on our wedding day and having to move the ceremony inside, everything was still beautifully done and the weather cleared for us for pictures outside after the ceremony! The beach is also super close to run over and shoot some pics there too. Loved the bridal suite space hidden and tucked away for me and my bridesmaids as well. The food, drinks, venue, and service/staff were all a great experience for both us and our guests.”

“My husband and I were married here on 7.13.2024. It was heavenly!!! When we toured other venues in the southwest Michigan region no place felt quite right. We happened to hear about Inisfree in passing and decided to drive over. Peggy and Bruce (the owners) couldn't have been kinder and more welcoming and they remained that way the entire process and continue to be! They have so much passion for Inisfree and it shows. The ground are beautiful and immaculate and they truly love to engage with people. We also rented all ten rooms out at the bed and breakfast for our wedding weekend and got special and intimate time with our friends- from pool time, garden/patio hangs, and delicious home made breakfasts (quiche, zucchini bread, blueberry muffins just to name some of my favorites). Our friends/wedding party who stayed onsite continue to rave about their stay and the guests of our wedding party couldn't get over how beautiful the property is. Everyone loved silent disco!!! Do you self a favor and book a tour. The place speaks for itself. We can't wait to return for our anniversary :)”

Mill Hall was built in 1873 and operated as a grain mill until the early 2000s. Following an extensive renovation, the Hall is now ready for use as an event venue. Fully heated and air conditioned, the building is entirely hardwood, with beautiful light and open design. It is perfect for an eclectic, warm event. The space features two full floors of entertaining space. Downstairs offers 2800 square feet of formal dining area with full bar, featuring four barn doors to the outside porch. The rear of the building is being renovated to provide an dedicated dance and entertainment zone. Upstairs features two lounges, plus two changing areas and cozy prep rooms for the wedding party.
