Texas Rock House is a labor of love. My grandparents built the house and barns in the 1940's as a working farm for their family. My mother was the youngest of seven children that grew up here. I grew up almost across the street with my mom (Joyce), daddy (Buddy), and brother (Larry). Larry and I spent almost every Friday night here - listening to his records on Grandma's old record player or sitting on the back porch swing counting the number of cars on the trains as they passed by. LaLa Park's 2-story, cedar lodge has 5 large bedrooms with 6 beds, 3.5 bathrooms, 2 kitchens and plenty of charm to spare. It sleeps up to 12 people comfortably with 2 king-sized beds and 4 queen-sized beds. There are also 2 dining areas and 2 living room spaces—one with a wood-burning stove and the other with a stone fireplace. Our sprawling 2-acre main lawn with a large music stage makes for the perfect outdoor event space.
