Icelandic-born but raised stateside in New Mexico and South Carolina – thanks to the United States Air Force. My love of storytelling began as a child when I asked for a typewriter for Christmas. Friends and I composed neighborhood newsletters featuring imaginary residents along our street in Alamogordo, NM. After moving to Charleston, I was a yearbook and school newspaper staff member. Words transitioned to visual storytelling soon after I graduated from the College of Charleston. After freelancing for a couple of years, I studied at Ohio University. Focusing on visual communication, I concentrated on photojournalism and multimedia.
