The Dery House is the largest estate in the Lehigh Valley, this historic mansion built in 1917 and the perfect setting for unforgettable celebrations. Once home to the prominent George Dery. Leader to the largest silk factory in the world AKA King of Silk. Today it has been lovingly restored and fully renovated to host weddings and special events with grace and sophistication. The Dery House has two exquisite large ballrooms to the beautiful portico and garden landscape provides endless photo opportunities, while the charming patio is ideal for hosting romantic ceremonies under the open sky. The building that houses the Club was originally built in 1928 by The Women’s Club of Allentown. It was later purchased by The Bar Association of Lehigh County in 1991, where it underwent extensive renovations to restore it to its original grandeur. In 2008 the building underwent a $250,000 renovation to once again update the facility with new carpet, hardwood floors, audio/visual, upgraded kitchen appliances, fresh paint, a new bar, resurfaced parking lot and the creation of an intimate garden in the rear of the building for outdoor intimate affairs. Today, the building currently houses the offices for The Bar Association of Lehigh County and is available to the general public to be rented for special events.
