Barnswallow Blooms
Rating: 5.0 (4 reviews)
  • Serves Nortonsville, VA

I have a love for all things wild and natural, scented blossoms, mossy twigs, and starry nights. Flowers simply make my heart sing. I believe the magic of growing and gathering was planted in me years ago as a young girl, working alongside my mother picking wildflowers and lily of the valley. How I create is deeply rooted in who I am; a floral designer, grower, and potter. I feel my art background has been a really strong foundation for floral design as textures, color, and design are all intertwined with both arts.

Willow Branch Flowers
Rating: 5.0 (2 reviews)
  • Starts at $4,000
  • Serves Nortonsville, VA

Willow Branch is Step mother/daughter team, Cathy Coyle and Mary Pearl Monnes. Willow Branch has grown from a life long love of flowers, gardening, art, nature and all things beautiful. Backgrounds in fine art and horticulture enable us to visualize unique combinations of color, form and texture with consideration for each individual couple and season. We work closely with dedicated local growers to select the best material for our designs. Embracing seasonal selections allow the beholder to take forward a memento of their experience, reliving the beauty of a day again and again in the passing of seasons.

As with many women, I have been dreaming about my wedding since I was a little girl playing pretend. My husband and I also had a two-year long engagement, so I dreamed even more intensely about what everything would look like. What we couldn't have predicted was how unbelievably gorgeous everything would look, because our florals were so vibrant and fresh and beautiful. I have never seen flowers so bright and healthy as Willow Branch Flowers'. They really made everything else in our wedding pop, and I'm so happy I got my bouquet preserved so I can always have a piece of these gorgeous florals. They were so easy to work with, very responsive, and even stayed after the ceremony to help set up the reception. The arch was easily my favorite part, but every table and votive and even the flower girls' petals were absolute perfection. They are completely worth it and more. I HIGHLY recommend booking with them!

Flowergirl Cville
Rating: 5.0 (2 reviews)
  • Starts at $5,000
  • Serves Nortonsville, VA

I believe flowers have a special mission in our lives. People change when they see flowers. Studies have shown flowers have an immediate impact on happiness and their presence leads to increased contact with family and friends. As a freelance floral designer, I loved the way faces lit up when I walked into the venue with arrangements and buckets of flowers. I decided to take the leap and pursue a career that would enable me to create something meaningful and beautiful and combine my passion with designing a purpose-driven life centered on creating stronger connections amongst people through the beauty and language of flowers.

Jennifer was amazing to work with and her arrangements were gorgeous, and exactly what we wanted for our wedding plus within budget!

I was very pleased with my experience with Something Borrowed Blooms! The flowers were quality silk, unlike typical fake flowers these felt and even smelled like flowers!! I enjoyed not having to waste flowers the day after our wedding, I could send them back in for the next bride! If I had not gone with something borrowed we likely would have make our own flower arrangements. I was nervous about not knowing how those would look until the day of. I loved knowing EXACTLY what my flowers would look like on my wedding day. They were gorgeous! The customer service was never lacking! My shipment was delayed by a day but the team was quick to respond to my nerves insuring me they would over night a replacement box if needed. We highly recommend!

Flower Moxie – Do-It-Yourself Wedding Flowers
Rating: 4.9 (78 reviews)
  • Starts at $350
  • Serves Nortonsville, VA

In 2013, 8-year wedding veteran Amy McCord Jones realizes she wouldn't be able to afford to hire her own floral services if she was a bride. Then, Amy discovers that there is basically zero help available for DIY brides. No flower recipes. No instructions. No access to florist-grade blooms. Rude. So she launches Flower Moxie! Flower Moxie remains a humble, tucked-away small business out of Oklahoma City. We don’t zoom around on scooters in some fancy high-rise. We stock an average kitchen with canned wine and Aldi chips and listen to true crime podcasts while photographing curvy ranunculus. Join us. There’s cake, hugs, and acceptance here.

Awarded Best of Zola
Would highly recommend Flower Moxie! Mother of the bride who can’t keep her houseplants alive decided to take a risk with DIY bridal and bridesmaid bouquets. Could not have been happier. Flowers arrived right on time. I contacted Flower Moxie right away with a question on timing for unboxing. Alexa immediately responded and became our personal flower consultant for the next 4 days. She was professional and encouraging and FUN! I felt much more confident that we could create beautiful bouquets with her assistance. The educational videos on the website are so helpful and informative. I alerted her that just three of my stems arrived broken. Flower Moxie immediately posted a refund to my account so that I could replace those stems if I felt it necessary at a local store. I cannot say enough good things about the whole experience. The bridesmaids and bride created their own bouquets the morning of the venue during hair and makeup. Was really fun for all of them and they were absolutely stunning! Don’t be afraid of DIY. If I could keep these alive and thriving - you can too! Flower Moxie (and Alexa) are great partners for your special day!!

Woodland Floral Design Co.
Rating: 5.0 (77 reviews)
  • Serves Nortonsville, VA

Proud Cat & Dog Mom // Your New Wedding Vendor BFF It’s never been just about pretty flowers to me. I started out in social work because I wanted to serve and connect with others. I first entered the floral design world as an intern in 2016 and noticed a lack of originality in designs and a need for more connection between the florist and the couple. When I started WFD in 2019, I decided to prioritize both artistic designs and building long-term relationships with each couple. Planning my own wedding in 2021 gave me an even deeper appreciation for the importance of receiving creative expertise and genuine support from wedding vendors.

Misha was a DREAM to work with! She understood our vision and ran with it. Our wedding florals were incredible and so unique. Guests kept coming up to us asking where the floral arrangements came from! We could not be happier that we chose to work with Woodland Floral Design Co!

I was most nervous about our flowers fitting the vision I wanted for our wedding because Poppy is fully online. DON'T WORRY! They were communicative, the interface was so easy to navigate, and the most reasonably priced flowers on the market. They truly blew my expectations out of the water and I was so glad to support a local florist with ease. We loved our flowers so so much and they were exactly what we pictured and then some! Our guests loved them just as much. I cannot recommend more highly.

Believe it or not, we often have people ask if our pictures throughout our website are showing a mix of fresh and faux and…no they aren’t! Although fresh florals are pretty, we are totally in love with poser-blooms all the way here and that’s what we design 100% of our orders with.

I’m so glad we went with the Faux Bouquets for our wedding florals. Everything was beautiful and nobody believed me when I said they weren’t live flowers. As someone in the wedding industry, I knew that I wanted to hire someone completely capable of carrying out my vision and all of the intricate details on my wedding day. Having worked with Ket before as a freelancer, I knew immediately that I wanted Ket and her team to create the florals for my fall wedding. Ket was patient and attentive to detail with all of my requests, checking in throughout the planning process to ensure that all of the things she had in mind for the wedding matched what I was dreaming of. On the wedding day, when I saw the flowers at our ceremony, I was floored and immediately in tears. Joseph and Rob of Riverwood Designs are the best in the business. I booked Riverwood Designs for my May 2024 wedding, at The Maine of Williamsburg, for bridal party flowers and floral table arrangements, as well as a Day-Of Coordination package. Booking Joseph and Rob was one of the best decisions I made during my 2-year long wedding planning process. Joseph was a life-savior during the planning process, keeping me calm and confident that my day would be nothing but perfect. And it was exactly that. On the day of my wedding, Joseph and Rob arrived promptly and delivered the most BEAUTIFUL flowers. I am so glad that I chose to go with real flowers, as opposed to wood or silk flowers. The arrangements looked and smelled amazing. The proposal that we had worked on prior to the day of in no way did the actual flowers justice. They were even more amazing than I could have ever imagined. For the florals, we chose to include the orange flowers in only the bridal bouquet. Also including this same orange flower on only the groom’s boutonnière. This was the perfect way for me and my groom to feel special and different from the rest of our bridal party. Book Riverwood Designs NOW! For all your floral and planning/coordinating needs. I am so thankful that I did and I cannot recommend them enough.

Brin’s Posy is named after my beloved dog. She passed away unexpectedly a few years ago, leaving myself and her pup sister (Abby) to figure out life without her. We were months of grieving her loss when a close friend insisted I channel the grief energy into something positive. A bell went off in my head as my current job as a florist in a far away town was coming to an end. Brin’s Posy helped me come to terms with the loss. I still have Abby (the shop girl) in the shop daily and occasionally out to our farm venues! We love to source local and work with community members.
