Coming from an Italian family, I inherited the baking genes. I started making cheesecakes 15 years ago. It started out as a challenge to see if I could do it, and once I mastered that, I decided to expand into different flavors. I brought cheesecakes to family functions and my mom would always say that they were "too rich" or "too much". I changed to making them into bars so she could have a smaller piece and it wouldn't be too much. Once I found mini cheesecake pans, my life was made! After being encouraged by my friends and family to start my own business, I took the leap and did it. 6 years later, I am still enjoying it.

Daniel Colonel loves telling stories through dessert. As a child, he was fascinated with food and always interested how it was made. He took his love for food, and sweet tooth to the Culinary Institute of America where he graduated in Baking and Pastry Management. Daniel's favorite part of the process is connecting with the couple and getting to know their love story. Her passion then grew into a career when she decided to go to New York to study Baking and Pastry Arts at the Institute of Culinary Education. Since then, she has honed her baking skills and gained experience, working with chefs like David Burke and Tom Colicchio from NJ, NY, CA, and TX. Now, she’s finally back on the East Coast and is committed to providing her customers with delicious baked goods. Babka Bailout began as a way to help a friend struggling to make rent and feed her family during the pandemic. When founder/owner Michal Prevor learned about a fellow mom’s desperation, she immediately opened her heart, rolled up her sleeves and began baking towards a brighter future. Michal’s “babka fundraiser” facebook post quickly covered her friend Carmen’s expenses and soon evolved into Babka Bailout - a booming babka business committed to changing the world one babka at a time.
