Bright Eye Beer Co. is a family-owned brewery and taproom in the heart of Long Beach, New York, rooted in great beer and a welcoming atmosphere. Born from our family’s original business, JA Heneghan’s Tavern, Bright Eye opened with Grandma Babe’s blessing in February 2020 and grew with the support of a close-knit community. Inspired by Long Beach’s history, Bright Eye draws from the fishing industry that inspired our name and the century-old Five & Dime shop upstairs, now renovated into our second-floor bar and event space. Stop in for a post-beach beer, grab a crowler, or celebrate a milestone. In 2024, Bright Eye expanded to include The Upstairs, a flexible event venue featuring original tin ceilings, historic beams, a wraparound bar, cozy seating, rustic furnishings, and a dedicated catering room, ideal for weddings, rehearsal dinners, welcome parties, and private events.

2 Spring’s newest space, the Atrium, completed in 2021, is an airy sunlit room inspired by the great courtyards of Europe. This space can accommodate cocktail-style events for up to 55, and seated dining for up to 40. Our second floor space is flanked by oversized french windows with views of Oyster Bay's historic town square. We can accommodate a group up to 30 for a seated event and up to 40 for a cocktail-style event. For a more social & engaged event, 2 spring creates a seamless flow in our two-story urban townhouse, comprising our first floor dining room, mezzanine, & atrium. Our first floor is flanked by oversized french windows that open during the warmer months, a reclaimed wooden bar with zinc counters and glass chandeliers. 2 Spring can customize your event with stationary or passed canapes, perhaps beginning downstairs and progressing to the mezzanine level and atrium for a more bountiful fare. The options are endless and can accommodate groups up to 125.

The building dates back to 1837, a three-level structure which was built by William Nelson. Peekskill lawyer, Congressman, and friend to Abraham Lincoln. A small stage, built on the 3rd floor in 1870, was identified as the “Dramatic Hall.” This emblematic building had been abandoned for about 20 years and fallen into disrepair until 2012, a complete renovation took place restoring the 1870-era theater.
