Coral was an incredible wedding planning partner for our special day. From our very first interaction, Coral's communication style was casual and approachable, putting us at ease as we navigated the wedding planning process- something that was so new to us! She demonstrated an amazing attention to detail, showing incredible effort to ensure every aspect of our wedding day ran smoothly. When the wind was a factor at our venue, which was very new to her and us, Killer Tomato Farm, and Coral and her team responded with flexibility and creativity to adapt the timeline and decor. They expertly navigated our dynamic family, keeping the day on track while allowing us to be fully present. We are so grateful for Coral and her team's commitment to making our wedding vision a reality - we would hire CGHP Evenrs again in a heartbeet!

Trellis Florals
Rating: 5.0 (6 reviews)
Hood River, OR
  • Florist
  • Starts at $5,500

I’m the designer and mastermind behind Trellis Florals. Growing up I was lovingly called “Blaire with a Flair” and thus began the shaping of my life’s calling, to add a little flair everywhere. I grew up working in a flower shop and later earned a degree in Interior Design. Combining my education, and a deep passion for florals and design, I have made my dreams a reality. I love to create a cohesiveness that is too often overlooked in event planning and home design. Whether it’s florals, décor, table settings or art, they all need to be considered as a whole, to form a theme that comes together creating an unforgettable venue or event.

Awarded Best of Zola
“We,” and by “we” I mean you and me, received the most amazing compliment possible. My sister, who is a spectacular florist, said the flowers were perfect. Thank you for making them just as I envisioned. They were the perfect combination of elegant and romantic and demure. Just STUNNING. My sister is PICKY, and to have her be so impressed with my choice in a florist is a very high compliment (at least for me) She wasn’t the only one who commented on your skills but hers is the one that carries real weight. Thank you Blair!

The Hood River Hotel was the perfect venue for our wedding weekend. From the moment we first contacted them, the staff was efficient and helpful, providing lots of great ideas to make our day special. The venue itself is cozy, with a beautiful vintage vibe that made it feel intimate and personal. They were able to quickly flip the space from our ceremony to the reception, and the team helped me create a vision for the decor without even being there in person. Our whole experience was incredible - we bought out the entire hotel so all our guests could stay with us, which made the weekend feel so special and memorable. We could not have asked for a better experience. From start to finish, Maddy Engelsman and the Mt. Hood Meadows team were extremely flexible and accommodating. They worked with us, not against us, through every detail — and we never once felt nickeled or dimed. We’d heard horror stories from friends about other venues, but our wedding could not have gone smoother. The staff was professional, kind, and genuinely cared about making the day special. The food absolutely blew our expectations — easily some of the best we’ve ever had at a wedding. If you treat the team well, they treat you well right back. Possibly the best decision we made during our wedding process (aside from getting married), was choosing this venue. We were able to rent and use 3 locations throughout the weekend (Pavilion, House 3, and Thunder Island), and each was accommodating and gorgeous in its own way. The ease of having everything from welcome night, rehearsal, ceremony, and reception in the same spot made our logistics 10 times easier. Lots of wedding venues are gorgeous, but what sets the Locks apart is their this place is that they are truly flexible and hospitable. They will actually listen and try to make anything work for you! We had 200 guests so we really pushed the capacity, and the team worked flawlessly to make sure we got what we needed. Jeanetta (the manager) offered so much helpful perspective, was easy to reach and communicate with, and went the extra mile, even helping us put up and take down lights, bringing her personal tools. It felt like showing off the PNW to our east coast and Midwest guests. They were blown away, and so were we. If you want a low-stress, high-flexibility, and completely stunning outdoor wedding, this is the spot. Hidden gem for sure.

Going into the wedding planning process, my now husband and I didn’t have a strong vision for what we wanted in terms of photography. We just wanted to have lots of fun and end up with some great candid shots. We chose Original Weddings because we really liked their Instagram photos, and they had pricing options that fit our budget comfortably. Their online platform and regular communication made the process super simple and straightforward. We met with the Original team and our photographer, Eugene, a month or so before the wedding, and gave him pretty much no direction except that we wanted a lot of candid shots. The day of the wedding, he was on point. He got amazing candid shots, but also recommended certain group photos or locations for us to shoot throughout the evening. We are so thrilled with how our photos turned out, and owe it all to Eugene’s guidance, skill, and professionalism.

Flower Moxie – Do-It-Yourself Wedding Flowers
Rating: 4.9 (78 reviews)
  • Florist
  • Starts at $350
  • Serves Hood River, OR

In 2013, 8-year wedding veteran Amy McCord Jones realizes she wouldn't be able to afford to hire her own floral services if she was a bride. Then, Amy discovers that there is basically zero help available for DIY brides. No flower recipes. No instructions. No access to florist-grade blooms. Rude. So she launches Flower Moxie! Flower Moxie remains a humble, tucked-away small business out of Oklahoma City. We don’t zoom around on scooters in some fancy high-rise. We stock an average kitchen with canned wine and Aldi chips and listen to true crime podcasts while photographing curvy ranunculus. Join us. There’s cake, hugs, and acceptance here.

Awarded Best of Zola
I recommend 100% using flower moxie if you want to DIY your flowers. My cousin used them for her wedding and had a great experience so I decided to use for mine as well. I was worried since my wedding was on a Sunday that a Thursday delivery would have my flowers wilting by the time of the actual wedding. It was perfect. The flowers lasted so long. The recipes for the arrangements are easy to follow. Everyone loved my florals and was surprised it was DIY. I would totally use them again.

Our experience working with Jamie and Ceremony DJs can be best summed up by the fact that multiple people told us after the ceremony they wanted to book him for their wedding and at least one got his business card! I can't imagine a better DJ, truly. When we first met with Jamie, he said he could make people dance to anything and would keep people on the dance floor all night, and he WAS NOT LYING. The whole night, the dance floor was PACKED even though it was rainy/muddy/cold/wet. Jamie took us on a journey that covered all of the bases of the music we love to hear and dance to, seamlessly and magically (?) integrating genres with the best mixes, it was pure wizardry and really captured who we were. We as a couple care a lot about music and wanted music that represented who we were and what we like to listen to, and he did not disappoint! So much prep work went into this, he took patience and time to try to understand our tastes and vibe, and it was so cool to have the wedding played on vinyl- basically, Jamie just "got it" from start to finish and we had the best time! Our wedding also got delayed due to rain and a road closure and he was such a good sport, staying late to keep us all dancing for a whole other hour- so fun! Also, when our ceremony musician was stuck in traffic due to the storm, he was so prepared and had our prelude/processional music downloaded so we could still walk down the aisle to the songs we'd chosen. Overall, such a cool, kind, funny guy who was professional and prepared in every way and honest just takes time to meet and know his clients, and clearly just loves to share his love of music. I would book him for everything if I could. BOOK THIS DJ. You will NOT regret it!
