The 1880 Union Hotel is a truly exceptional wedding venue. Their communication style is personable, tailored, and efficient - they make you feel welcomed and valued throughout the entire process. The quality of their work and the value they provide is simply exquisite. They have a unique and beautiful approach, always going above and beyond to customize the experience for each couple. For example, they accommodated our request to have the rental load-in at 8am the day before, even though it was outside their normal schedule. There were also no unexpected fees, and the chef even came in early to monitor the process. This team clearly prioritizes ease and reducing stress for the couple, which is not the case everywhere. In another case, when the linens weren't picked up from the rental company and I, as the planner, was already home from the wedding, being days later -- they handled before I even know, but they took these large linen duffel bags into UPS without hesitation. The team as a whole understands hospitality and how important it is to keep things calm, cool, and collected - they've mastered that. Additionally, the customization of the menu was fantastic. During our tasting, we had one-on-one time with the chef to discuss our preferences, dislikes, and dream wishes for the cuisine - and they made it all happen seamlessly. We highly recommend the 1880 Union Hotel for their personable service, exquisite quality, and commitment to making your wedding day truly special.

We hosted our reception at the Courtyard Santa Barbara Downtown right after getting married at the courthouse, and it was absolutely perfect. The rooftop was amazing and such a unique spot to celebrate with our guests. We kept things simple with a buffet and bar, and it was exactly what we wanted. Our guests were so surprised by the location and how beautiful the hotel itself is. The service was great, and the planning process beforehand was easy and stress-free. The only thing we had to coordinate was decor, everything else was provided by the hotel. The drive from the courthouse took less than five minutes, which made everything so easy. We loved it!!

This was an incredible venue for a much more reasonable cost compared to other Santa Barbara options. We did reception only for 5000. The building itself is beautiful. The courtyard is spacious and well cared for. We also used their indoor auditorium space which had so much old school charm. Beautiful stained glass window, plenty of bathrooms, and so much space for dancing! There’s even a stage, although we didn’t use it. They also have lots of rental packages you can add on. We got all of our reception furniture (tables and chairs) for an additional 1200. We worked with Joanie from the Unitarian society who was so helpful! They are definitely firm on a few rules but overall it was all very reasonable and we had an incredible experience. Definitely recommend!

We got married at Santa Barbara Courthouse right across the street and celebrated our reception at the Santa Barbara Courthouse Distillery — and it was absolutely perfect. When we were first searching for a venue, the first person we met was Andrew. He took the time to show us the space, listen to our vision, and truly understand not just what we wanted, but why we wanted it. From that very first meeting, he gave us the impression that this team puts the customer first — and that if something could be done, they would find a way to make it happen. That turned out to be completely true. From there, Melody and the rest of the team were communicative, quick, and direct, answering every question we had. The venue itself is spacious and stunning, with so much room to make the space entirely your own. We rented out all three spaces, which gave us the room to really spread out and create something special. One of our biggest selling points was that food, bartenders, tables, and chairs, etc were all included — we didn’t want to deal with coordinating a dozen third parties just to have the basics covered, and the fact that it was all taken care of in one place was such a relief. They also offer plenty of add-ons to customize your package, and they were completely flexible with us bringing in our own photobooth and DJ — making it easy to personalize every aspect of the day. The food was absolutely delicious (WE LOVE MIZZAs) and the team was incredibly accommodating throughout the entire planning process. If we had a specific vision for something, they found a way to make it happen — no question too big, no detail too small. Our setup was elaborate and detail heavy, with our family and friends bringing our vision to life, and Andrew and the staff jumped right in to help without hesitation. They made what could have been a stressful process feel seamless and fun. On the day itself, Melody, Andrew, and the whole team made everything feel effortless and magical. Everything went completely smoothly — we had absolutely no issues from start to finish, which is truly the greatest gift on your wedding day. They served dinner, kept the drinks flowing, and made sure we felt taken care of every single moment. Andrew especially went above and beyond — my husband is obsessed with the bruschetta, and Andrew made sure a plate was saved and ready for him the moment we arrived. It’s those little personal touches that set this team apart. So many thoughtful details made our day unforgettable: early access the day before to set up, staff coordinating with the restaurant next door to get our cake, letting me use the upstairs space to get into my dress before heading to the courthouse, preserving my flowers so I could enjoy them the next day, and giving us the grace to clean up the following morning without ever feeling rushed. If you’re looking for a venue where the team genuinely cares and goes above and beyond for your big day, look no further. We are so, so grateful and would recommend the Santa Barbara Courthouse Distillery to any couple looking for an incredible space to celebrate.

From the moment we started working with their team, they were always there to help and truly wanted us to have the best day possible. The intimate space at Drift provided so much room for creativity - the team put in so much effort to ensure the space was beautifully set up and the service was exceptional. It's a truly gorgeous venue with the sweetest people, and we loved having our reception there. I also highly recommend staying at Drift for a full experience - the penthouse was absolutely gorgeous and the dreamiest room we could have asked for.

Didn't know this place existed! Went there for a reception. Dinner was super beautiful - long tables, string lights, and perfect weather. Felt really easy and fun. Then we moved into the barn and it turned into a full-on party. Disco ball, fog, lights, DJ — everyone was dancing. Honestly one of the best dance floors I’ve seen at a wedding. Really hidden gem.

Went to a welcome party here and it felt kinda like hanging out at a beach spot somewhere along the Italian coast. If you’re looking for a venue where your closest family members and friends are on site, if you prioritize good food, and if you don’t want to move from venue to venue during your wedding weekend… oh and you like luxury and high-class service, then this may be the venue for you! I’ve researched hundreds of venues and every time I looked at a new one, my heart would come back to The Genevieve. TG puts people at the forefront of every decision, and that was felt by us, our families, and every guest who shared our special wedding weekend with us. There are 20 gorgeous rooms on site. If you do plan your wedding here over a weekend, you will need to do a full buy-out, but honestly that was perfect for us. I didn’t want anyone not part of the wedding to be on site with us. Let’s move to food… now this was a TREAT. Our initial tasting solidified any lingering doubts. Everything was so beautiful, served piping hot, and ridiculously delicious. 75% of our guests ordered the filet and all were cooked to perfection, like how is that even possible to cook that many steaks at the same time perfectly? *Chefs kiss* to Chef Beto. So TG is a gorgeous venue, but it has multiple mini venues within it. There’s the inn where all the rooms are, the ceremony lawn, the post-ceremony happy hour lawn, an indoor bar, a grand dining room, and then even an outdoor dance floor behind there! So as the day progresses, you move from location to location which keeps things interesting and honestly was so fun! Planning for the big day with the team was a breeze. They had a list of to-do’s and due dates based on our wedding date, and everything was clear and easy to follow. I thank Pam, Kris, Chef Beto, Dana, and Esme (and everyone else!) for helping make this the best weekend of our lives! We can’t wait to come back and visit you all, just the two of us! The Ojai Retreat & Inn was everything we could have asked for for our wedding in early November!! We rented the whole property for our wedding party and the weekend felt like a dream oasis! Before the wedding, we were able to immerse ourselves in the serenity of the Ojai Retreat by taking a stroll on the nature path. We also enjoyed nearby restaurants (Bonnie Lu's for breakfast and Ca'Marco for our Rehearsal Dinner) that were a short car ride away. We used the living room area and the upstairs library for getting ready spaces and they were well air-conditioned and provided more than enough space for all of us- without the groom seeing the bride, of course. Then during our ceremony and reception, the beauty of the landscape and views made for marvelous photos and memories! It was truly magical and felt like an enchanted fairytale! On top of the beauty of the property, everyone who works at the Ojai Retreat & Inn is so kind and helpful! A special thank you to Dana and Lia for your help and to all the workers who helped move lawn furniture before our rentals needed to unload. They were so flexible with us and worked with us on our many random questions and requests. We can't wait to come back to the Ojai Retreat & Inn for our anniversaries!!

I had a beautiful wedding and reception at The White House Beach Club. We brought a live band, a DJ to play after dinner and churros for an evening snack. The venue was gorgeous and it came together so well! The whole staff was so friendly and attentive. Nothing but great things to say about the venue and staff. Food was amazing! The appetizers were a big hit! The venue added a few nice to have few extra touches like the champagne welcome cart. The space is so great to throw a great wedding and reception!

Buddy's is our favorite wine bar in Ventura -- not even close. Alexis always has the most creative and hip ideas happening at the bar, and it was the best to have our wedding there. After getting engaged in late 2020, my husband and I found ourselves at Cuyama Buckhorn during a trip to New Cuyama. New Cuyama was already a special place for us and after spending the afternoon at the recently renovated Buckhorn (it had also been under new ownership for just a year or two), we just knew it felt right. We reached out to the team and after a bit of back and forth, we ended up working with them to plan our special day. As it turned out, we were actually their very first wedding! Some may have seen this as a red flag, but we saw it as an opportunity and I’m so glad we did. Just a little background info – there are about 21 rooms at the Buckhorn and very few other places to stay in the area so this venue is really meant for intimate gatherings/smaller weddings. We had a total of 53 guests and a few stayed at the nearby Cuyama Oaks Ranch (glamping in yurts). When it came down to it, the entire Buckhorn team was incredibly flexible and accommodating. From the food to the deserts, they did it all and pretty much had everything we needed on site. The only outside vendors we hired were a DJ and a photographer! This being said, we already loved the Western-style aesthetic of the Buckhorn, so our vision was pretty much already intact and we didn’t need much outside decor or anything. We went for a summer camp kind of vibe and booked the entire hotel for the weekend so it really felt like a magical escape for all our friends and family. We worked with Executive Chef Daniel Horn to design our menu, Beverage Director Brandon on our custom cocktail menu, the in-house graphic designer Kiana on our wedding collateral and former Events Manager, Savannah Fox on everything in between. They truly catered to our every need throughout the process, but what really makes this team stand out is how they kept our vision alive and the weekend feeling magical despite some unfortunate weather. On the day of our wedding, it SNOWED early in the morning, hailed, and then rained. Our original plan was to have our ceremony and dinner outdoors and the venue was well-equipped with tons of heating lamps, fire pits, etc. so we figured dinner outside would be fine. Everything was set and then it began raining right before the ceremony. The General Manager literally carried a pool umbrella over my dad and I as we walked to the aisle. Talk about above and beyond!!! Magically, it stopped raining just in time for the ceremony to remain outside, but it was pretty cold so the entire Buckhorn team rallied together to breakdown the already set dinner outdoors and transition it inside. They managed to move the dinner in a matter of about 15 minutes and it looked just as beautiful inside as it did outside. I should also mention that if you’re coming from a city like Los Angeles or Santa Barbara, this venue was much more affordable and accommodating than any others I looked into. They handled all of the details so well and included things most other venues would not have. From the amazing food to the aesthetic, to the wonderful, wonderful staff, I could not recommend this venue more. If you have your wedding here, you are guaranteed to have the most incredible memories and photographs. The Buckhorn is truly an experience and the owners and staff are some of the friendliest, most amazing people in hospitality I have ever met. If you want a small, spirited, BEAUTIFUL wedding with desert valley vibes, this is the place for you.
