The Woman's Club of Claremont was the perfect venue for a summer birthday party we recently celebrated. The garden, with it's hydrangeas blooming, shaded lawn, and privacy hedges was a beautiful backdrop for our "garden party" theme! We have many beautiful photos and memories! The clubhouse ballroom is spacious with lots of windows and natural light and we had plenty of space to set up and store refrigerated drinks and cake. Parking was very convenient. The event manager explained everything we needed to know to have a great experience. I attended a wedding here as well, as a guest, and it was a beautiful event with a garden ceremony, and a ballroom reception. This venue offers the flexibility to design an amazing event you've been envisioning! I highly recommend it!

The hotel has a beautiful venue with plenty of parking. John (Director of Catering) was amazing to work with and helped make the planning process easy and stress free. The staff at the hotel and at the event were super accommodating, nice and pleasant to interact with. A lot of our guest raved about the food and service they were provided by the staff.

During our cocktail hour, dinner, and speeches, he seamlessly managed every step. And as the party amped up, he was so patient with my guests and all of our unhinged karaoke requests. We gave Seth just a handful of songs to set the vibe, and he curated an incredible playlist that perfectly matched the energy we wanted. I was obsessed with my wedding hair and makeup. It was exactly what I requested (light coverage makeup that lasted all day and hair half up hair with waves that also stayed all day but wouldn’t get all knotted from a bunch of hair spray). I was crying or sweating for about 80% of the day and it all lasted perfectly without ever looking cakey/streaky/etc. As someone who never gets my hair/makeup done, I recommend doing a trial. I found I wasn’t super great at articulating what I wanted and my inspo photos were not cohesive. Tiffany was great in helping with each step and giving me different options! She is communicative and flexible. She’s also super sweet and relaxing which is the right type of energy for the morning of your wedding! I would recommend her to any of my friends.

We’ve been lucky to know and work with Randall for a few years. When we finally decided to make things “official” we knew we wanted someone that does great work, that we trust, and would make us feel comfortable. We wanted our day to feel like a relaxed family event and Randall helped with that and so much more. He suggested possible locations that would meet our dream event and times to maximize the best lighting for the area. Once we settled on the location and date, he maintained excellent communication in preparation to the event to properly flesh out the day’s timetable, day of logistics, and post. On the day of our wedding he expertly directed us and our families, using the natural lighting to capture the perfect shots. We would have been lost without him, especially since no one knew how to assist with bustling my dress. During our dinner reception he seamlessly directed restaurant staff to assist in transitioning between meals/dessert/toast for more amazing shots. After the wedding he kept us updated on next steps for our pictures. Randall is truly a gem and I would recommend him to anyone looking for someone special to capture their day.

Can’t overstate what an incredible experience we had with the Oviatt. Not only was the venue perfect for wedding, but the staff truly made the entire planning and day-of experience so smooth and welcoming. The space is gorgeous and one-of-a-kind - we didn’t have to decorate at all, there were so many little spaces and pockets guests to explore and mingle in, all the original art deco decor and furnishings were so cool. We didn’t have to add anything (but could have brought in outside rentals and vendors if we wanted) - the venue rental includes seating for the ceremony and reception, the rooftop lounge was fully furnished was lounge furniture, the terrace is already decorated with bistro lighting, twinkle lights and ivy walls, and there is lounge seating throughout the indoor space. Also included were cocktail tables, easels for signage, tables for our buffet set up. All of these things at other venues we looked at were either additional costs or we’d have to bring in additional vendors to supply. What really made the experience though was the Oviatt staff - Lindsey and Gabe are both so friendly, approachable, welcoming and supportive. Other venues we looked at were all business, had a “take it or leave it” vibe and kind of made us feel like we should be grateful for even to be given the chance to have an event there; Lindsey and Gabe were the exact opposite - they weren’t just trying to rent out a space, they were helping us host our wedding and doing everything they could to make sure our plans were realized. They provided us with so much information beyond what was required of them - they had a whole packet with a suggested timeline for planning, a Planning Pod tool that enabled us to track our vendors and plan out our floorplans and seating charts, lists of vendors we needed to consider and decisions we needed to make. Gabe had an actual meeting with us to discuss what we were looking for in a venue and our wedding, and have is all of this information we even booked the space. Lindsey followed up with us periodically in the months leading up to the wedding to remind us of what we needed to be taking care of and making sure we were on track. Both of them were always generous with their time answering our many questions and being flexible in accommodating our requests. We felt so supported and cared for throughout the entire process, and felt more like we had friends in our corner than like we were coordinating with a vendor. Truly cannot say enough about how wonderful this team is and how appreciative we are. We looked at practically every venue in the downtown/northeast LA area, and this one not only blew away the competition in what they offered, but it was also the most affordable option! It’s really like having the efficiency of an all-inclusive venue without the restrictions. And of course all of our guests loved it - we are still getting comments on how unique and beautiful the space was, and how much everyone enjoyed having so many different spaces to explore and congregate throughout the evening. Best decision we could have made.

I’m not even sure where to begin to describe how amazing Events by McKenna is at what they do!! McKenna is the most kind, helpful, and enthusiastic person to assist you during such an important time in your life. She made sure everything went perfectly on our wedding day and every day leading up to it! When we first started our wedding planning journey, we only knew where we wanted to have it, and due to the venue location not regularly being used for weddings, we needed to outsource vendors for everything. That's where McKenna came in and helped us out by hand-picking every vendor that she knew would provide the exact things we were looking for. From catering, florals, furniture rentals, DJ, and all the little details, she knew who would be perfect for the job and she was right about every single one! Every time we had a question or a crazy idea, she had an answer right away and she would do everything she could to make it happen. One thing that we were really hoping for was getting a disco ball above our dance floor, but since we were outdoors, it wasn’t looking promising. McKenna was the one who made sure that we got our disco ball, and it was absolutely perfect! That’s just one example of the many ways McKenna ensured our dream wedding would become a reality. On the day of, McKenna and her team were so efficient and handled everything so that my husband and I could relax and focus on ourselves. The Moon Units were the best part of our dreamy desert wedding! If it wasn’t an open, outdoor wedding they would’ve torn off the roof (while respecting local sound ordinances, of course.) They have such a deep catalog of hits and did a great job balancing the set list between bangers that appealed to guests who came to dance and those who were a little bit shy. They kept the energy level over the top from cocktail hour through a windy night that would have sent many vendors packing up. The wind knocked the venue power out halfway through the set, and they didn’t miss a beat while the venue got generators online for their electric amps. They kept the party going into the night, and looked like they were having as much fun as we were, despite falling amps and heat lamps! The guests were raving about them: - ‘I felt like I was back in high school, dancing with reckless abandon!’ - ‘ I have never seen my parents dance, but they didn’t leave the dance floor’ They couldn’t have been nicer to work with, and we are thankful for their part in our perfect day!

I ordered photography and videography from them, they've done a great job! Iman and Ali were very friendly and caring, it was very easy to work with them and we did so many pictures in the short period of time that we had for photos during cocktail hour. And the price wasn't high at all, unlike other wedding photography companies. The turnarounds are not long, the way they edited our video was remarkable, and they conveyed the emotions we felt that day perfectly! If you are reading it now, waste no time, choose them!

We had Tavi as our month of coordinator and she helped with our rental order. She was super responsive to all our emails and always willing to help us with any decisions! I felt completely comfortable knowing that Tavi had everything under control. She was proactive with vendors and made sure we were always updated on any changes or issues with vendors. Day of the wedding flowed SEAMLESSLY. Several guest commented about how the night flowed really well from a guest prospective and it was one of the best weddings they had been to. The day was perfect and I felt like a guest instead of a host because of Tavi and her amazing team handling everything effortlessly! I can't say enough kind things about Tavi!

Literally from the first interaction, Trey was thoroughly professional. We knew instantly that we'd be in good hands during the process, and he maintained through the big day. With Trey, we always had clarity over next steps, and we also got as much flexibility as we could ever hope for. We had a slightly unusual (or, unconventional) ceremony in a couple of ways, and Trey handled every request without any issue. Lastly, and most importantly for a DJ, he nailed the music. We felt like he "got" us while also filling in the gaps appropriately. A true professional, and we feel fortunate having him on the deck for our celebration.

Carlos was the DJ for my wedding and I loved every second! He's very communicative and listens to what you are wanting and the vibe you want at your party. Everyone was dancing the entire time at my wedding, we all had a blast. Carlos really knew how to read the crowd and get everyone going! We had a mixed Latino and white crowd and everyone loved it. He also did great with MCing the entire very long wedding! I highly recommend.
