My husband and I have both been training in medicine for the past few years so were quite worried about pulling off a nice wedding given how little time we could dedicate to planning. We are SO grateful to Wedgewood Carmel for our amazing experience! Planning was so straightforward and relatively stress free. We toured the venue once (and had a great time, as the staff there are excellent and very helpful), and then from there received a binder in the mail and a series of scheduled phone calls to keep us on track (these were easy to arrange and reschedule which was super helpful since I often didn't what my schedule would be like in a month or two). We had a list of vendors to reach out to (cake, florals) who were also all phenomenal and overall it was fun to just tick of each box. We did not end up needing an outside wedding planner which was fantastic! We were slightly worried that we wouldn't be able to customize as much for the wedding- but we actually got to pick a LOT of the details, and then Wedgewood was very great about letting us bring our own decor and flair to the wedding, and was very supportive (for example, I brought a lot of ceramics to give away and had a plushie toss, and they were able to incorporate this super easily). We were able to customize our menu from a wide range of choices, make our own signature drinks, etc. The weekend of- Alycia and Ashley were phenomenal. Alycia helped us do rehearsal and organize a bunch of people who had just gotten off long plane rides, and simplified everything so that we were all reassured. We went through our day details (which we had also done on the phone) and dropped off our decor, and that was it! Our actual wedding day was beautiful- our ceremony was outside with gorgeous weather in October. The oak trees were a really nice place to take post-ceremony photos and at the very end of the day we went to the nearby beach (which you could also use for a beach wedding) to take photos. All the decor was laid out by Alycia/the staff beautifully, the food was excellent (Ashley brought us a plate with all the food, which was greatly appreciated since we otherwise wouldn't have eaten). The DJ was very good, the photographers (we used the recommended API photographers) were excellent- all in all, we had an amazing day and everything went smoothly, and people seemed to have a good time. We couldn't be more happy! Definitely recommend Wedgewood (especially to those who are very busy).

The Brothers Ranch is the best venue ever! When my fiancé and I did our venue walk-through, I knew this was where I was going to get married. The bamboo grove, tropical lush gardens, gorgeous reception area, perfect bridal suite....everything was beyond wonderful. Jessie and Jonathan Brothers are exceptional humans with great communication, professionalism, and willingness to help. She provided us with tons of resources to help us execute our day - sample timelines, layouts, vendor lists, tips and tricks, and more (in addition to lots of email communication and very thoughtful meetings leading up to our big day). Our wedding day was truly a dream - better than we could’ve ever imagined - and I strongly believe it is largely in part because Dawn (and the rest of our vendor team that mostly came from Dawn’s recommendations) was so on it. DJ Shazaam was incredible and absolutely made this event. He DJ’d a kids-and-parents Minecraft rave birthday party and created the perfect balance of fun for both children and adults. The dance floor was full the entire time. His mixes and mashups were playful, high energy, and age appropriate, and his professional setup sounded great in our dome space. We really wanted a meaningful ceremony that felt true to us, was deeply ritualistic and connected to nature, and yet not religious or too gendered/ traditional. Further, our officiant is originally not from the United States, and wedding culture is quite different in her home country- we wanted to best support her to confidently create and deliver a ceremony that would seal our marriage. If you’re looking for a wedding planner - your search is over. Hiring Paige was one of the best decisions of our entire wedding, and I promise you’ll be impressed by her work too. We hired Paige about a year and a half before our wedding date, and we had absolutely no idea where to start. Throughout the entire process, Paige was patient with our questions, enthusiastic to help us achieve our goals and our outlandish ideas (whilst also helping us keep realistic on what was possible) and always went the extra mile to ensure the process was as smooth as possible for us. Paige managed all of the vendor communications for us, which was a massive help whilst we juggled our full-time jobs and other commitments. Reflecting on the experience now, there is no way we could have found our vendors (who were absolutely phenomenal and largely sourced and recommended by Paige’s expertise) and managed the communication with them half as well as she did for us. She kept the entire wedding planning progressing, helped us work through difficult challenges as they arose, and became our number one confidant and trusted friend throughout the process. On the wedding day itself, Paige was incredible. She was like a blur being everywhere at once, making sure guests, vendors and ourselves were properly cared for throughout the day (she brought us food and drinks, learned how to weave our table decorations (literally because I saw it on Pinterest), fluffed my train… she literally did it all!!). There was absolutely nothing we had to worry about or “sort” on the day as her team had everything completely in hand. She was incredibly professional and continued to go above and beyond for us, and we never once saw her without a beaming smile. It’s clear that Paige loves her job, and she invests every ounce of passion into ensuring her clients weddings are world class. Paige is the most down-to-earth, bubbly and supportive wedding planners we could have ever have hoped for. I am SO grateful for all of the wisdom, time and passion and patience she shared with us. I’m sure there’s hundreds of more testimonies just like ours, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to anyone. If we ever planned our wedding again, she would be a non-negotiable part of our day.

The setting is spectacular. We had 80 guests who came from all over and we had a beautiful October evening wedding. We were married in the driveway overlooking the San Juan Valley and Gablan Mountains, had our reception in the courtyard, and dinner by the pool. We brought in our own vendors (caterers, dj, photographer, florist) and MVR was very accommodating - always there to help, but not in the way. Our guests really enjoyed the town of San Juan and access to the Monterey Penninsula. We made a weekend of it! Best day ever.

We are so thrilled that we hired 831 Catering for our wedding! Joseph, Kimberly, and their team were so great to work with and the food was incredible! We had a small, backyard family wedding of about 50 people, and everyone was so happy with their meals. We interviews a couple of local caters, and we were very impressed with Joseph and his recommdations for a menu. We had a grazing board, seasonal salads, steak (best steak ever!), fish, veggie pasta, seasonal vegetables, mashed pototoes, and small desert cakes. Joseph and Kimberly were such great people and so fantastic to work with. They made our whole day stress free. They arrived with their own set up and we can't recommend them enough!

Laurel was communicative and worked with me patiently too book a date while we were still looking for a venue! We knew we wanted this violin and guitar duo right away. In our search for a wedding photographer, Sarah's artistic style caught my eye right away. She offers a blended service of candid and semi-posed photographs which matched how we hoped to capture our wedding day moments. From our first phone call and in-person consultation, Sarah put us at ease. She helped organize our style preferences and 'must-capture' moments as we planned for the wedding. Her questionnaire helped bring focus in the planning phase and on the wedding day, we knew we were in good hands. I highly recommend Sarah's services, she has an eye for the little details you want to remember and she was discrete during the ceremony and reception while snapping candids (which I appreciated as someone who gets nervous in front of a camera!).
