We had DJ Zach Kerns at our wedding and he was absolutely INCREDIBLE! The dance floor was packed all night and we got tons of compliments on him!!! I am a bit of a self proclaimed ‘music snob’ and I had a LOT on my ‘do not play’ list and a LOT of silly details about how I wanted music to be played lol!!! My list of music requests was obnoxiously long and could probably have filled up like 5 whole weddings xD Zach was literally so kind, understanding, patient with me and took all of my insane requests into consideration - and was able to navigate my excel sheet of like 18384746627281 songs with ease!!! I couldn’t have imagined the night going any better than it did. He did a perfect job.

Choosing Lizzie and RBE to plan our wedding with us was without a doubt the best decision of our entire wedding process!!! I speak for my husband and both our families when I say it was truly a joy to work with Lizzie from start to finish. I still don’t know how she managed to make both the exhaustive months of planning and the countless day of coordination efforts so organized and seemingly effortless… but she did! It was the greatest day/night of our lives and absolutely perfect in every way — it really is all thanks to Lizzie and RBE!!!

From steaming dresses & garments to managing vendors (without being bossy) to answering questions from anyone and everyone to wrangling people for photos or transportation and so much more – we make sure all of the moving parts are managed, setup is executed, logistics are handled, items are placed and our clients & their families are enjoying the day.

Awarded Best of Zola
I truly don’t have enough words to express how incredible Caroline was as our wedding coordinator. From the moment we started working with her, she brought a sense of calm, confidence, and joy that we didn’t even know we needed. She asked thoughtful questions and raised important considerations in the lead-up to the wedding—things we never would have thought of ourselves. Caroline went above and beyond by personally reaching out to every single one of our vendors ahead of time. She made sure she had a point of contact and verified all the details so that nothing slipped through the cracks. That level of preparation gave us so much peace of mind. On the big day, Caroline was everything and more. She was calm, collected, and full of life. She seamlessly managed every detail while keeping the energy light and fun. She vibed effortlessly with our families (which was no small feat—our crew is chaotic), and somehow made everyone feel seen, heard, and cared for. Things definitely went wrong behind the scenes—because that’s just how weddings go—but I, the bride, never heard a single thing about it. That’s the magic of Caroline. My husband and I had drinks in hand at all times, and every single moment we had planned happened on time, correctly, and seamlessly. It was like watching our vision come to life without lifting a finger. We did not deserve her. She was truly priceless. If you’re lucky enough to have Caroline on your team, know that you’re in the best hands possible. We could not have asked for anything better.

Emma shot our engagement shoot in Asbury Park NJ (a place that is so special to us) we have such a blast grabbing drinks, pizza, and even ice cream throughout our shoot, which led to phenomenal engagement photos that truly fit our relationship and personalities to a T. During the shoot Emma communicated with us effectively, letting us be ourselves. Fast forward to the best day of our lives. 11.02.24– Emma shot our wedding day in Philadelphia, PA. Steven Rosen Photography

I have been a photographer for the last 20 years, shooting weddings, elopements and portraits. I'm proud to have shot more than 150 same-sex weddings, which is probably more than, well, just about anyone. That said, I’ve worked with as many straight couples as LGBTQ ones. I don't discriminate. There are many other photographers whose work inspire me, but my primary inspiration comes from painters. Rembrandt, Vermeer, Sargent, to name a few.

Steven was a godsend for my husband and I. Not only is he an incredibly creative and effective wedding photographer, he helped us with insight and experience to ensure our entire day went off without a hitch. Very few people can say their wedding was perfect- but we were blessed to have not just a perfect day, but a day that exceeded our highest goals and expectations and much of that was due to Steven. We will be forever grateful for his vision, organization, insights and style.

Maria was very quick in responding to any questions that we had and was accommodating to making sure she gave us enough time to work with us that morning. The Cool Rulers
Rating: 5.0 (33 reviews)
Brooklyn, NY
  • Band or Ensemble
  • Starts at $6,000

Meet The Cool Rulers! A youthful, professional and world class dance band collective from Brooklyn, NY specializing in Motown, soul, funk, disco and more. Our videos and reviews speak for themselves. Made up of real friends with real musical chemistry and a true love and passion for the songs that we play, The Cool Rulers cater to clients seeking an alternative to your typical flashy top 40 event bands.

Awarded Best of Zola
How to begin to sing the praises of the best band there is? We’ll start with unsolicited reviews from our friends: “Would you be offended if I use your same band for my wedding? I feel like anything else would be a let down.” “What’s your band name? I have to follow them on Instagram.” “Pretty sure that was the best band I’ve seen in 20 years of weddings.” We had our wedding at the Prospect Park Boathouse, and by 20 minutes into the first set the band had amassed a crowd of passers-by who stopped to watch and listen from a nearby bridge and stayed all evening long. Logistically, The Cool Rulers made life easy. We had a number of special requests for our wedding and The Cool Rulers approved them without hesitation and executed them flawlessly. This included learning 3 new songs, one of which was to be sung by 2 of our friends. Charles & Co coordinated with our friends to send them a demo and arrange time for a quick rehearsal, all of which culminated in a “performance” that seemed as if it had been rehearsed for months. The even accommodated a specific request for how they were set up, leaving us an aisle to walk down and filling it in during a short break later in the evening. The Cool Rulers are immeasurably talented, and the perfect complement to that talent is their ability to set the tone, ride the energy, and deliver an absolutely perfect evening of music and dancing. We could not be happier and could not recommend them more highly. A

Brooklyn Winery was a dream venue for our wedding day. From the very first interaction, the staff were responsive, easy to talk to, and provided detailed information to help us plan our special day. On the day of, all of the staff were pleasant and seemed to be vibing with the energy of the wedding. Our day of coordinator even helped us create a last minute boutonniere when we realized we were missing one. The space itself was beautiful, full of warmth and character that made our celebration feel truly dreamy. All of our guests were gushing about how dreamy the venue was and the quality of food which we were so happy to hear. The mashed potatoes and the steak were the biggest hit! I loved how our guests were able to slip into the cocktail room for dessert and catch up with each other or go dancing on the dance floor. The only regret I had was missing the opportunity to take photos in their lovely & iconic wine barrel area as it was blocked off due to all the storage and the dinner rehearsal that was going on in the tasting room. Definitely would recommend Brooklyn Winery for couples who are looking for that rustic but whimsical vibe.

Emily is a phenomenal photographer to work with! She met with us more than once to set expectations and what kind of theme we were looking for. She also prepped us before the city hall marriage process, making sure we wouldn’t be flustered with any surprises on our special day. At the beginning, we weren’t sure what kind of themes we wanted, and struggled to tell Emily what we were looking for. We told her aesthetics like “dark academia” and “fantasy” but we weren’t sure what that would look like in practice. But Emily made a moodboard on Pinterest for us and helped us work through photos we’d like and photos we absolutely wouldn’t like! She also came with me a couple days before the shoot to scope out one of our locations, and she thought of great poses and locations to best showcase our relationship and cut down on any decision fatigue the day of. Emily made our wedding day seamless so the only thing we needed to worry about was how happy we were that day. Would definitely recommend!!

Hiring DJ KDOT LIM (Kevin) was the best decision we made when going through the process of hiring our vendors. I am very particular about my music and it was a TOP priority that we worked with someone that understood our vibe, vision, and overall music selection for our big day. He was such a pro and knew what to ask for our venue's AV set up, music prep, and even attending rehearsal which was totally optional for him to join. Kevin understood everything from the timing of the music for the processional, and most importantly my big entrance down the aisle. When it was time to party, he spun all the tunes I requested and also went above and beyond to DJ the most FUN set ever!!! One of my highlights from the day was my husband and I dancing to one of our favorite house tracks that I didn't even request. He just had the perfect song queued up for the right time!!! I can't imagine what the day would have been without him. He had all our guests up and dancing including my parents and uncles and aunties. The vibes were immaculate!!! Above all, his personality is so kind and chill which is the kind of person you want to be working with for such a big life event. I cannot highly recommend him enough!

My partner & I had looked high & low for a wedding venue that met (usually) contradictory criteria: in/around New York, affordable, communicative, chill, really really good at food, flexible, and able to coordinate the millions of tiny & large wedding details that would overwhelm me if I had to figure out myself. We figured we'd get a couple of these in some combination if were lucky. And then the clouds suddenly parted, and there was Farm to People - in short, they did it all, they checked every box, they made our wedding a dream! They made it so easy & fun to plan, they worked with our budget, and the day of was smooth and perfect and magical. We had a mostly vegan/totally vegetarian wedding, and our many skeptical guests couldn't stop talking about how incredible a meal it was; it was easily the best meal we've ever had at a wedding. I truly can't recommend Farm to People enough. 3

Hi! I'm Talia and in 2018 I created Simple + Sultry. I had been working in the world of weddings for a few years, and in 2017 I married my husband and my craft became that much more special to me. I want to help people glow on their big day. Everyone deserves their day of love and laughter and I want to help create the day of your dreams. Simple + Sultry was named after my artistic style. I find beauty in soft, simple yet sultry looks with a laissez-faire whim about them.

I have never in my life felt so beautiful as on my wedding day, and I cannot thank Talia enough for more than just their work -- they put up with my friends and family with continuous grace and even heroically styled flowers in my hair after the florist dropped the ball on making a hairpiece. In the end, I think my hair actually looked better than it would have -- so many of my favorite photos from the wedding are of the back of my head because my hair looked so, so, so pretty. My sister, mother-in-law, and sister-in-law, all, too, looked so stunning and perfect even after dancing and sweating all night. Talia is so talented! Any bride would be lucky to have them for HMU!

Steph Smith Photo
Rating: 5.0 (23 reviews)
Brooklyn, NY
  • Photographer
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $5,000

I started learning photography in my high school's darkroom. I was there so much, they gave me my own key so I could come in on weekends. In the mid-aughts, I brought my art kid sensibilities to Brooklyn, and here’s been home ever since. In true New York fashion, I’ve had many jobs— but photography's been my full-time focus for more than a decade. Just me, a concerning number of cameras, and my cat. I'm going to take photos anyway, so some of them should really be of you. While I duly rely on the miracle that is digital, I remain grounded in the discipline of analog. I love incorporating film photography for my clients wherever I can.

Awarded Best of Zola
Steph is a wizard, ninja, and a unicorn all rolled into one. From the minute we reached out to her she immediately made us know we were in good hands. She was clear, communicative, and professional, but every time we talked it still felt like talking to an old friend. (Several of our guests assumed that she WAS an old friend of ours who happened to be a photographer — that’s how warm and chill she is.) Ahead of time she was great about getting details of exactly what we wanted, so that on the big day she just slipped in and out seamlessly without pulling us away from the fun. She was also careful to figure out exactly what we wanted the vibes of the final product to be (candid, colorful, joyful) and she delivered in spades. The finished products are beautiful and were delivered quickly (both the digital copies and the physical prints we ordered). We cannot recommend her highly enough!

We could not have had a more perfect October wedding day and that is due almost entirely to Meryl and the team at Bacchus. The process of working with Bacchus from booking all the way through execution was incredibly smooth, accommodating, and generous. We had a handful of very specific food allergies the Bacchus handled beautifully, and the space was stunning and charming. We are still getting friends telling us how much fun they had and that our wedding was one of the best they’ve ever been to. We had 105 guests in attendance, and the space didn’t feel cramped at all, and we had plenty of room to dance. We also brought in a DIY Photo Booth, and we brought in our own flowers for Bacchus’ existing bud vases. The only extra decor we provided were our paper goods like name cards menus and framed bar signage (although Bacchus will print them for you, I just had a specific look and paper I wanted to design on, and I provided frames) tapered candles and hurricane vases. Bacchus provided votives for smaller candles. Everyone warns brides about “post wedding depression/regret” but if I could do it all again, I wouldn’t change a single thing. It was a perfect day at the perfect place. (Photography by Bryan Sargent)

Sandy Soohoo is a dream. She is extremely talented and creative, knowledgeable about the industry, realistic about the challenges, reliable and responsive- all while being a joyous energy and pleasure to be around. For those reasons, I couldn't have imagined a better photographer for our wedding - or person to be by my side throughout that entire day and evening. She works with a variety of mediums (lens, cameras, flash/no flash) to obtain a variety of styles for the photos, which all turned out unique and fully capturing different "perspectives" of the event - and most importantly, capturing the true essence of the joy and outward and inner beauty of the wedding. The photos turned out beautiful, have this journalistic yet ethereal feel- an artistic quality which I believe is a rare skill. I'm so thankful for having worked with Sandy!!

Lorrie was nothing short of phenomenal from our first interaction. She very easily captured the modern vibe I was looking for and created stunning arrangements for our wedding. I’m obsessed with my bouquet and many guests complimented how beautiful the flowers were. She worked within our budget to create very unique decoration and kindly provided vases so we could repurpose the ceremony flowers towards the reception decor. Her pricing and communication were very clear which we also appreciated. I highly recommend Style & Vine to anyone looking for an excellent florist. You can’t go wrong with Lorrie!

Joy was incredible to work with as our Month Of Coordinator, can’t recommend her and the Taylored Events team enough! We’d already selected our venue, vendors, and design, but wanted support with ironing out final details, timelines, and day-of logistics. We initially weren’t sure if we needed a coordinator to begin with, but are so glad we went with them, especially because it made the day completely stress free, not only for us as the couple, but just as importantly, for our family and wedding party. Joy gave us a spreadsheet to help us check off everything we needed for planning, created our timeline down to the minute for the day of, coordinated all communication with vendors leading up to and throughout the wedding, oversaw our rehearsal walk-through the day before (on site), and set up our decor for us. Special touches included being so kind to our flower girls and keeping them entertained (thank you to Joy’s assistant, Lindsey) during speeches, taking phenomenal candids and Polaroids throughout (we had a camera out for guests to use during reception, pic attached), and helping with my quick dress change. Joy & team are super organized, friendly, diligent, professional, and flexible — and they really care about everyone having a great time. Huge thanks for all you did to allow us to be 100% present with each other and with our loved ones on our special day!

This was my first time working with Justin. I needed a DJ for my very first Salsa & Hustle social, and I needed a DJ who knew exactly what to do. I’ve worked and been with past DJs before, and they have either promised something they couldn’t deliver, or weren’t just good people to deal with. Since I dance pretty frequent in the salsa & bachata scene, I’ve heard and seen Justin’s performance and overall work ethic, and I have to say…I was impressed. Not only did he roll with his own equipment, his selection of music and the way he played with the tracks were solid. With that, I took a gamble and hired him for my event which had 400 plus people. This man came prepared, he had every cable,  bought his own speakers, had to microphones and gave me one to use for announcements, he set up his own table by himself with no help, did not complain once and his vibe was friendly. He got along with everyone. My event was a huge success and he was literally one of the main reasons why. I even booked him for my next event coming up in two months. He’s gonna make me look good! Anyways, thank you Justin for everything and if you’re reading this and you’re thinking about hiring him just pull the trigger you will not be disappointed!

Patricia at East River Photography was such a delight to work with! Her work was stunning and exactly what my husband and I wanted. We were blown away initially with the gorgeous engagement photos she took of us on the Brooklyn Bridge. It's always been a dream of mine to do photos at that location and she was able to capture exactly what I wanted; the towers in the background and shots of the city behind us! Just gorgeous! We shared our ideas for the wedding photos with Patricia and after a walkthrough of the venue we were set and excited to work with one another. My husband and I had a dark wedding and Patricia was very open and loved so many of our ideas, which was a breathe of fresh air! She had no judgments and was genuinely excited to work with our themes! Day of the wedding Patricia and her assistant worked tirelessly to capture all of our special moments. We wanted lots of family photos, which my husband and I both have large hispanic families, with LOTS of cousins, Tios and Tias, so it was no easy task. They got it all! I didn't have to worry day of at all where they were or if they were getting the shots we wanted. Patricia was there and ready! When we finally got the photos WE WERE BLUSHING! We had the biggest smiles on our faces as we relived our happiest day! The photos were absolutely beautiful, captured every special moment, and we couldn't be happier. We were thrilled and so happy not only with the photos but the gorgeous album she put together. Working with Patricia throughout the whole process was fantastic, she worked within our budget and schedule which was so amazing. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! I'm very happy to leave this five-star review for her and her team. Keep up the great work and will definitely be recommending to friends and family.

Everybody needs a Raquel for their wedding! We had Raquel for 3 month coordination, and words alone cannot express how organized, professional, and seamless Raquel made the three months leading up to and on wedding day. Prior to the start of our coordination with Raquel, she provided us with a very organized, detailed spreadsheet to guide us through the wedding planning process. Raquel was the organization and detail behind every idea I brought to the table and helped to make our vision a reality! Raquel was my coordinator but doubled as my wedding therapist throughout the three months! Any wedding related question we had, Raquel was always there with a very thoughtful and speedy email response. Starting at 5pm the night before our wedding when she led us through our mini walk-through, to walking down the aisle, I felt completely reassured everything would go as smoothly as possible due to Raquel’s expertise! Raquel and her team are the perfect blend of professionalism and warmth that made our day feel seamless. Her team worked effortlessly behind the scenes on the day of our wedding (even running back to my apartment to pick up forgotten ceremony programs and doing so without me even knowing!). They worked their magic and allowed my husband and I to be the guests of honor rather than the hosts. I wouldn’t have made it through the final stretch of wedding planning without Raquel and her team. I highly recommend Raquel’s coordination; she made our day effortless and unforgettable! If you are lucky enough to have Raquel be a part of your wedding era, you will not regret it. Thank you for everything Raquel, we couldn’t have done it without you!

Angie, Sara, and the entire crew at Threes Brewing Gowanus were amazing the day of the wedding and all the months leading up to the day itself. My wife and I planned our wedding ourselves, and it would have not been nearly as smooth of a process if it hadn’t been for Angie helping us along the way. The venue itself was the perfect spot for a joyful and casual daytime wedding celebration, with a gorgeous backyard and great space inside to have a dance party. Angie took notes of every little detail my wife and I mentioned anytime we had a meeting, which ensured that on the day of our wedding everything looked exactly or even better than we had imagined it. We were able to drop off our DIY florals and other little things for the wedding the day before which made the day of our wedding go smoothly and we got to enjoy being brides without having to think about anything else but enjoying the day. The food and drinks were amazing on top of everything else, getting compliments from endless guests of ours. We are so happy we decided to have our wedding celebration at Threes and are profoundly grateful for all the amazing help we had from everyone who works there. We highly recommend having any sort of celebration here if you are looking to have a good time.
