How long does it take to get my wedding film?

Accepted Answer

Post-production on your wedding film is a very detail-oriented process, from finding the perfect music to the perfect color grade, I never want to rush the process. Most wedding films are completed within 12 weeks of your wedding date. Everyone’s wedding is put in queue in the order they are filmed. If you want us to prioritize your edits to get your content back sooner, we also offer rush edits options such as a social media teaser or a faster turnaround.

How are payments set up?

Accepted Answer

A retainer of 50% is due upon signing an agreement to secure your event date. The remainder is due 30 days prior to the event date.

Will you travel to my wedding location?

We love to travel! We enjoy filming new places and venturing to fun destinations.

How is my film delivered?

Your film(s) will be delivered to you online through a link to easily share and download your content.

Can I choose the music for my highlight film?

Accepted Answer

Each wedding film is unique and music is an important part of telling your story. We love to have the creative freedom to carefully select music for your film based on your personality and the vibe of your wedding day. If you prefer, I can send some websites with music that I can legally use due to copyright laws. Most likely, I will not be able to edit your film to your favorite song(s). You can also suggest a style or genre of music for me to use and I will be happy to accommodate your request.

Can you fly your drone at my venue?

In most cases, yes! Most venues will not have an objection and in most cases, they welcome aerial footage of their location. That being said, permission by the venue is not the main deciding factor. We are Part 107 Certified by the FAA to fly our drones. This means we may not be able to fly our drones depending on various factors like proximity to airports, political dignitaries in the area, and safe flying conditions. However, we will always do our best to prepare in advance and get the footage if possible.

Do you offer Engagement or Save the Date Sessions?

Yes, we do! The Save the Date Film is a short 30-60 second film that you can share with your family and friends announcing your engagement and wedding date. The Love Story Film is a longer 3-5 minute film that thoroughly tells the story of your relationship.

How is audio recorded for my wedding ceremony?

Accepted Answer

We take great care to capture audio for your wedding. We believe that not having great audio is just as bad as not having great footage. We usually do our best to plug into the audio system at your ceremony. In addition, we may also mic the officiant, the groom, and the bride. We have backup mics attached to our cameras in case those fail. Your consultation is a great time to let us know if there will be any special readings or music performances. For speeches and dances, we work with your DJ or band to connect to their system for the best quality audio.

What is a highlight film?

Your wedding highlight film is a creative edit of all the special moments crafted into a cinematic and artistic video. We include shots like the surroundings at your venue, your guests, details, and any special events you have planned. We mix high-quality audio and visuals we have captured throughout your wedding day to tell your story, such as parts of your vows or speeches. This version makes it easy to share with friends and family and relive your entire day in just a few minutes. You will be the stars of your very own movie.

What is a full edit?

In a full edit of your wedding events, this is where you can watch your ceremony from start to finish in a documentary style. You also have the opportunity to watch other events such as special dances, toasts, speeches, first looks, the entirety of your vows, and anything else you may desire. We will edit these moments using multiple cameras to present the event from different angles. This is your opportunity to watch events in full, since the highlight film may only include short portions of these moments.

What is raw footage?

When you purchase unedited raw footage, this is actually *slightly* edited clips. We offer your raw footage in this format so your day is divided into “scenes” of your day from getting ready to the send off. The raw footage straight from our cameras can include hundreds of files of short clips and multiple camera angles of the same event. What we deliver will make it much more enjoyable to watch and easy to sort through. It’s a great way to relive the behind the scenes conversations and candid moments of your day. The raw footage of your main events (ceremony, speeches, etc.) will be a basic version compared to the full documentary edits.

Do you have lights on the dance floor?

In most cases, we will set up lighting for your reception. Unfortunately, many venues have very dim lighting. We do our best to respect our use of lights and use them only when we need them. We almost never use them for ceremonies, except in rare situations.

Question 13

Will you have a second shooter with you on my wedding date?

Accepted Answer

Your package will indicate whether a second shooter is included and you can always upgrade to an additional videographer. Two videographers allow us the flexibility to capture more content and angles during your ceremony and moments that cannot be re-created. This also allows us the opportunity to split up and cover more area such as during your cocktail hour when you are usually taking photos.

I have downtime between events on my wedding day. Will I be charged for that downtime?

When you book us for your wedding day, it is for a consecutive amount of hours.

Question 15

How long do you keep a backup of our footage?

Accepted Answer

We normally keep your footage backed up for up to 1 year from your wedding. After this, we may delete the RAW footage and edited video files from our servers and hard drives. This is one reason why we recommend buying RAW footage and downloading all of your content once it is delivered. You should always back up your digital files in a secure place as well.

Do you have insurance?

Yes! We have liability insurance. We can also provide a certificate of insurance. Simply have your venue coordinator or wedding planner reach out to us and we’ll get it to them as soon as possible.

Can you reserve my wedding date without a retainer?

Accepted Answer

Unfortunately, no. We are not able to “pencil” you in or guarantee a certain date without a non-refundable retainer. Customers are served on a first come first serve basis.

Question 18

What if I want the final video re-edited?

Accepted Answer

We put a lot of effort into editing an intricately structured film. We blend visuals together with audio from your wedding day and music that we have specifically selected based on our artistic choice. We will offer 1 minor edit for free. Any additional or significant changes to your film will require a re-editing fee.
