The Society Room will provide a dramatic and unforgettable backdrop for your special occasion.

In the glorious Society Ballroom, you’ll find grand marble columns soaring to an exquisitely muraled ceiling, some thirty five feet above the dance floor. A sweeping staircase flows down from the 3,000 square foot balcony, providing a dramatic focal point for grand entrances and photographic opportunities. Marble, limestone, brass and bronze accents adorn the opulent ballroom in a setting right out of the Great Gatsby. Immediately adjacent to the Ballroom are three additional lounge or function spaces, each with their own special historic character, each with their own seating and full-service bar. All of this grandeur is complemented by our own incomparable chefs and banquet staff, ready to custom-tailor a food and beverage presentation which will fulfill the promise of a truly magical event for you and your guests. The best day of our lives!
There aren’t enough words to express our sincerest gratitude to The Society Room of Hartford for making our entire wedding such an enjoyable and memorable day. To begin with, their team is incredible at what they do- Linda, Rachel, Jake, Judi, and Jonna were all wonderful to work with. From the planning process, to the day of execution, each of them went above and beyond to deliver a seamless experience. Every special detail and request was accommodated without any hesitation. The waitstaff were all incredibly kind and accommodating to our guests. We are still receiving rave reviews about the delicious food (the filet cut was one of the best we’ve ever had), hospitable service, and overall beautiful ambiance of the venue. The Society Room offers a gorgeous space to celebrate, excellent cuisine/drinks, and staff that truly cares about making you feel so special! We are beyond happy we chose The Society Room for our wedding and cannot recommend them enough to other couples!

The best day
The Society Room of Hartford was the perfect venue for our wedding. From the very beginning, their communication was amazing - clear, quick, and attentive to all our questions and needs. The space itself was breathtaking, with its unique and upscale design that really made our wedding feel extra special. The staff was so helpful throughout the entire process, going above and beyond to ensure our day ran smoothly. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect venue - the Society Room truly provided an amazing space and experience overall that we will cherish forever.

Made Everything so Easy
The professionals at Society Room were absolutely amazing. Linda and Rachel made every step of the process super easy, were prompt to respond to my many questions and changes, and who doesn't love the gorgeous space? The food is phenomenal, I had so many people come up to me after to tell me how much they enjoyed it, and the photos from in/around the venue are just stunning. Having Judi on site with us on the big day, ushering us and making sure we were on time for all of the day's activities, was great as well. It helped us both just enjoy our day.

Absolutely Outstanding Team, Venue, & Food
I had my wedding here last week. Holy crap, they knocked it out of the park. Several people said it was the best wedding they’d ever been to. They said the food was so good they’d come back if it were a restaurant. The cake was also outstanding and so delicious (shout out to Paula!). More than all of that, Jonna the bridal attendant took care of me and my husband so well that we hardly had to worry about anything. We got to eat everything because she set it aside for us and we set aside time for a calm moment. She made sure we got to take the cake home. She was an excellent communicator, made sure everyone was where they needed to be and she was somehow always there when we needed her. It was like she was everywhere all at once! I thought I was going to need to corral people to help me take stuff home that night. Nope! She knew who my immediate family was and had them grab a few things. She made it all low stress. Linda was amazing in the planning process. She was communicative and diligent on following up on our loose ends. I always felt like she was there if I needed her. Chris was our salesperson and did a wonderful job. He went above and beyond and met us right before (or after) closing because it was the only time that worked for us. He made us so excited to book the place and the team truly delivered!! I wish I could get married AGAIN and I’d do it here! Ps you HAVE to book Bruno of Beauty and Life Captured! If you book here. He is masterful with the lighting of this place. Truly so talented!
