Located on the north shore of Big Bear Lake, The Outpost is a stunning rustic getaway and wedding venue and just a two-hour drive from Los Angeles, Palm Springs and San Diego and only 55 miles from the Ontario International Airport. The Outpost provides the perfect backdrop for you and your partner to host the ultimate romantic wedding in an utterly tranquil space, surrounded by tall pines and the beautiful San Bernardino mountains. The Outpost boasts several locations for your wedding ceremony, cocktail hour and reception and its five cabins are comfortably decorated and fully stocked. Bring the area's breathtaking natural beauty into your celebration with a romantic outdoor ceremony. In the evening, gather around the fire pit and share memories from the day. The Outpost also provides get-ready rooms for you and your partner to relax and prepare for your big event. The Outpost is also a fantastic location for engagement parties, showers, and bachelor and bachelorette celebrations.

Wonderful location and staff
We had our wedding here April 4, 2025 and it couldn't have been more perfect. We are mountain people and even though the weather was chilly, our wedding couldn't have been more perfect. We rented out all 5 cabins for family members, had smores around the fireplace at night, and oue ceremony overlooking the ski slops of Big Bear. This is a place we have come back to since our wedding and will stay nowhere else in Big Bear. Billy and Alyssa were amazing and so friendly and accomodating. Billy actually was oir officient and was fantastic. Can't say enough great things about this place.

Above the Clouds Above and Beyond
The Outpost was an absolute pleasure to work with as a wedding vendor. Their communication style was very clear, making the planning process seamless. The quality of their work and attention to detail was superb - the property was super clean and beautifully groomed, providing the perfect setting for our intimate outdoor event. Despite a myriad of potential issues due to acts of God, the team at The Outpost made everyone on their property, from guests, and vendors to the bridal party, feel comfortable and at ease. The Outpost's natural aesthetic is perfect for any combination of modern and rustic events, and I highly recommend them to any couple, family retreat, or business team looking for a stunning venue for their special events.

The Outpost is Outstanding
This venue had everything you would need. The look and feel of the venue really capture a beautiful aesthetic in person.Really felt taken care of by Alyssa, Jolene & Billy. They made sure every detail was taken care of. The wedding was enjoyed by all of the guests. Staff were willing to assist to make it a memorable experience for guests. I couldn't be more happy to recommend The Outpost to anyone looking for that special place, run by special people. We hope to be back in the near future!

The Perfect Place for a Wedding
Alyssa and Bill were fantastic at answering any questions that I had throughout this wedding process. They also helped set up as well the day of, they had a nice big fire place and heaters to keep my guest warm throughout the evening. I held my ceremony and reception there for about 30-40 people, it was the perfect size and place for this, could even fit more. I love just how easy and simple the whole process was, especially for guest for additional parking. The size of the cabins were great for getting ready on and for family to stay on site after the wedding. They also had amenities for bathroom, an onsite kitchen for food handling and a trash bin/cans as well. It fitted perfectly for the esthetic i was going for with so many trees and beautiful scenery of mountains.
