About this venue

Kathy and John chased a dream to move to Vermont and start a farm, having had careers as science teachers. Kathy had attended University of Vermont, fell in love with the state, and vowed to return one day. John left teaching to take his lifelong organic gardening passion to the next level. They viewed many farms across southern Vermont, and when they found the Farm at Williams River House, they knew they had found someplace truly special – a front row view of Fox Chair Mountain, verdant green hayfields, timeless stone walls and split rail fences, and a stately home dating back to the time of our nation’s founding! They were home, and they wanted to share this magical and romantic space with others. We offer many gorgeous locations for each part of your wedding weekend - a shady terrace overlooking a mountain stream as it flows into the Williams River, grassy fields with a mountain backdrop, beneath majestic maples, or under a gazebo perched on a grassy knoll.
