Terrible Experience
y husband and I retained Patricia Chambers’ services (‘St. Augustine’s Sea Pearl Beach House Weddings’) for our Feb. ‘26 wedding. We cannot stress enough how unorganized she was as a coordinator, how unprofessionally she conducts herself. She has defrauded us, our event insurance/liability company out of thousands of dollars. Even worse, our experience is not unique — other couples are dealing with the same. After touring her beach house, we did not have any real concerns about wedding package or state of the house, nor were we made aware of any issues related to its condition or possibility of its future sale. We paid a nominal fee via Airbnb to secure our date, received a contract with instruction to make monthly payments via Venmo to avoid commissions. Six weeks before wedding, Patricia informed us her beach house we had already paid for in full was suddenly unavailable due to mold. We later discovered the property had been sold two months before she informed us, a month before she asked us to purchase event insurance — a major breach of our agreement. She did not offer any refund or dissolution of our agreement, nor any real alternatives, aside from suggesting a new venue we could relocate the wedding to — a private residence she said she’d negotiated a deal on with owner. She told us this was the 'only way' we could move forward, she’d ‘lost a million dollars’ in her house, there’d be ‘no funds to reimburse us or put towards a new venue.’ At this point, we paid 7,777 for venue, over 11k in total towards additional vendor services. Understanding we'd not be recovering expenses, we were amicable, agreed to proceed. We were forced to book replacement venue ourselves for roughly 10k more upfront, which Patricia insisted insurance would cover. She then pressured us into opening of our claim, saying she considers insurance a ‘Ponzi scheme,' suggesting we outright lie or mislead claims agent to receive a larger payout by falsifying amount of new venue fee and/or date of wedding. With a few weeks to go we were still coordinating on items such as portable restrooms/security — reasonable requests from the owner she reacted to with incredulity, attempted to cut corners on when she realized we would not pay. Claimed she was ‘tapped out,’ ‘couldn’t come up with’ the approximately 1k for these services because other brides were ‘behind on their payments.’ She also failed to show up for our tour of new property, claiming she ‘forgot’ but ‘knew she had something important to do.' In general, communication with Patricia felt chaotic, disjointed, incoherent. She operates carelessly, entirely via scattered text messages. I frequently found myself repeating decisions or re-sharing information already provided. Basic planning items were left unresolved until last minute. On wedding day no reception schedule was prepared, she failed to notice parking area for guests had been closed. She even accepted cash for additional photography coverage but never confirmed it with photographer, who arrived an hour late. We ended up coordinating major logistics ourselves. We cannot recommend anything about working with Patricia. Our wedding was a success in spite of this — turned out to be everything we wanted, but we ultimately overpaid by thousands compared to what she delivered, experienced months of stress, confusion, constant problems, emotional manipulation. Patricia has no business being in the wedding business.

They go above and beyond to help every couple and vendor, ensuring the entire planning process and wedding day runs seamlessly. Wonderful
From the moment we reached out to St. Augustine's Destination Wedding Chicks, we were impressed by their prompt, easy-to-reach, and insightful communication style. PJ and her team worked tirelessly to make our wedding day the most perfect day ever. The venue space, which is right on the beautiful, serene beach, was absolutely breathtaking. When I had to have rotator cuff surgery and couldn't complete the floral chandeliers myself, PJ and her team even came to my house to help me make them. Everything turned out amazing for our wedding weekend - the team was so helpful and everything looked beautiful. We had the best time celebrating our special day at this amazing venue.
