Make Your Wedding an Experience
At the New Hazlett Theatre, your wedding becomes an experience. As a theatre space, it's perfectly unique, customizable, and offers so many built-in features! The dance floor and dinner setting, on the stage floor, is a dream scenario that embraces intimacy while the balcony and theater seating feel romantic and all encompassing. The lighting and audio capabilities create the vibe while the set up completely embraces an upscale wedding - with mood! The whole space lends to so much creativity and imagination. You can really make the space your own and design a once in a lifetime experience for you and your guests. Theatre staff and craftspeople are creators who put their commitment and vision into productions, and you can expect that for your wedding, too!

Worked here as a photographer for the first time in late winter 2020, loved the creative opportunities provided by the space, and also enjoyed working with the staff. Looking forward to working here again!

Unique and beautiful!
As a photographer, I love when my clients choose unique spaces to get married in and New Hazlett is one of the best! It's always a blast to shoot there and pushes my creativity in new ways each time I'm there. The staff has always been so easy to work with and they support any and all ideas that will ultimately benefit the couple and their wedding day experience. 10/10 recommend!

Amber and the staff were fantastic to work with! I DJ'd a wedding earlier in the year there and I was blown away of how we were treated. As a vendor we normally don't get the red carpet treatment but it sure felt that way when we arrived. Thanks again to everyone at the Hazlett Theater and can't wait to work with you again!

The most perfect venue for our day!
Hosting our wedding at the New Hazlett Theater was a total dream. When looking for a venue for our reception, we were seeking a place that reflected our personalities. It's so hard to find a unique venue with character and history, and the space itself is all of that! It was so fun to be able to celebrate our wedding in a place where we had previously attended shows. The theater is unique yet timeless, and we were thrilled that we could spend part of our wedding day there. Beyond that, working with the team there was such a seamless and amazing experience. From our first meeting the team made me feel so taken care of - it was like meeting trusted friends. They were so easygoing and friendly, and brainstorming ideas with them was so fun. Every little detail was just as I had envisioned. It was so important that we worked with business that aligned with our personalities but also values as well, and we absolutely found that in the team at New Hazlett Theater. Our wedding day was so special as it was the only time in our lives that everyone we love and care about most will be together under one roof - and hosting it at the New Hazlett Theater made it EVEN MORE special.

Our wedding prices and packages are consistent throughout the year, and we do not have any established peak season or off-peak season.

Our wedding prices and packages are consistent throughout the year, and we do not have any established peak season or off-peak season. However, it is much easier to book the New Hazlett for weddings and social events in January, February, June and September, as these are typically months when arts programming is limited.

No, the New Hazlett has its own liquor license and is the sole provider of alcoholic beverages.

We currently have parking available at the Allegheny Health Network garage at the cost of $7 per vehicle. This is subject to change at any time.

Yes, the theater reception space is fully accessible for your guests. We also have an accessible dressing room and accessible bathrooms. However, our additional downstairs dressing room space and our upstairs rehearsal room are not accessible.

The venue rental includes 6 hours of set up time for us and your vendors, a 5-hour event for your guests, an in-house event coordinator, a house manager, security for your event, and 10 hours of technical labor for lighting and sound set up.

The venue rental totals 11 hours: 6 hours of set up time for us and your vendors, followed by a 5-hour event for your guests. You may extend your event time by one hour for an additional $1,000. Please note that the alcohol service cannot be extended past five hours.

Yes. You must acquire a Certificate of Insurance for General Liability in the Minimum General Aggregate of $1,000,000 naming the New Hazlett Center for the Performing Arts, and City of Pittsburgh as Additional Named Insured.

Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee a rehearsal in the theater stage space. However, we will always guarantee a rehearsal in our rehearsal room upstairs, which has the exact same footprint as the stage. Please note that the rehearsal room is not fully ADA accessible.
