About this venue
Wrenwood Ranch is not a venue you rent for five hours. It is a place your people take over for an entire weekend. Built from the ground up by Chad and Keisha Watkins in Johnson City, Texas, Wrenwood sits on 14 acres of Texas Hill Country along the 290 Wine Trail — with 7 private cottages sleeping 18 guests steps from The Legacy venue. When you book Wrenwood, the whole property is yours. One wedding per weekend. No other guests. No shared spaces. No checkout pressure. Friday evening your people arrive. Saturday is entirely yours. Tucked just behind the venue, our outdoor ceremony space is quiet, grounded, and surrounded by trees. It feels like it's always been here. The area is made of decomposed granite, warm and natural underfoot, with Hill Country rock as your backdrop and a canopy of trees surround you. It's simple, peaceful, and effortlessly beautiful and natural.

I recently attended a wedding of a dear friend at the Legacy Venue near Johnson City. What a beautiful venue! So much room, great acoustics and such openness. The clean white walls gave the bride room to express herself with her colorful decor. One thing I truly loved was the bride’s room upstairs….a very comfortable and accommodating lounge-type dressing room for the bride and her attendants! The owners really thought of everything when they planned this! The classiness of this venue was perfect for this beautiful wedding. Would I recommend this place to others? In a heartbeat!! The Legacy!!

The Best!!
On top of how beautiful the venue was, it was so nice to be able to walk to your room after instead of having to drive to another location! It makes enjoying the day and celebrating so much better, with much less stress. It really made the whole time feel like a getaway!

The venue itself is a beautiful, versatile blank slate that allowed us to fully customize the space to our liking. We appreciated the all-inclusive packages and the quiet, private setting that gave us plenty of room to celebrate with our guests. The space was quiet, private, and offered plenty of parking space. Everyone loved the wedding and I also appreciated the flexibility with choosing out own venders! They thought of every detail, even the ones we didn't, to make our wedding day seamless and stress-free.
