About this venue
Defiance Hall is a 10,000 sf, authentically restored historic building with reaching mountain views built in 1820. We host up to 300 people across two floors. We often use the full venue for weddings up to 125 guests, allowing the event to flow through the property with arrival cocktail receptions on our outdoor terrace & creekside area or inside in a welcoming space. Dining typically takes place in the main hall, while wedding vows, dancing, and afterparties are held upstairs in The Loft. We offer a full suite of amenities, including liquor and commercial kitchen licenses. We offer in-house or third-party catering. Included are: - Two full bars - Kitchen for caterers - Tables, chairs, ceramic plate settings, metal cutlery, and cloth napkins for 150 people - Folding tables and chairs for an additional 150 people - Staffed cash bar - Projector - Wired and wireless microphones - Two PAs - DJ booth - Terrace seating for 60 people - Outdoor creek side receptions - Parking, optional stage.

This landmark dining hall is nearly 1,800 square feet, has mountain views, and connects to a wraparound creek-side terrace.

Our second floor, "The Loft", is 2,575 square feet of industrial rustic bliss!
The Loft offers a full bar, private restroom, additional table/seating for 125 people, a wide-open dance floor, and an optional 24-foot platform stage for bands/presentations, with a full sound and light package.

An extraordinary event venue!
Defiance Hall is a remarkable setting for a special event. Having attended a Scottish dinner there, I was amazed at the meticulous renovations that have gone into preserving and repurposing this spacious historic building, once a 1820's sawmill located between Forts Crown Point and Ticonderoga. The attention to detail and quality of the work and interior furnishings are impressive while rustic and comfortable, not to mention the fact that War Cannon Spirits produces fine small batch whiskeys and bourbons in their nearby distillery! Having worked with the owner to help organize the Burns Night dinner, I can also say that the crew is easy and pleasant to work with. I would highly recommend choosing this venue for weddings and special events, it truly is a gem!

Defiance Hall at War Cannon Spirits hosted our annual awards events as well as several other smaller events. The team is fantastic to work with and their attention to detail is exceptional. We cannot say enough good things about the venue and our experience. The food was exceptional and the site perfect. You will not be disappointed!

Excellent Event Space - Highly Recommend
We have hosted a few different types of corporate events at Defiance Hall, and they have all gone over very well. Everything from the planning phases to the event execution itself were seamless. Their attention to detail is fantastic and they do everything they can to make sure that all needs are met. The facility itself is immaculate and gorgeous, pairing that with their tasty food and beverages and accommodating staff and management team, you can't go wrong! Highly recommend.
