About this venue
Camp Holiday Trails is a beautiful 70+ acre nonprofit camp located in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Open year-round, we engage children and teens with medical needs. Special event and wedding rentals support our inspiring mission. Many joyful, loving, fun and playful weddings have taken place with us and the wedding weekend with lodging is a favorite "wedding destination" package of choice.

Our outdoor Pavilion features an indoor/outdoor space adjacent to a field and campfire. Picnic tables can be used or moved to make way for your rentals.

Dining Hall
My guests said it was such a warm and inviting space!
Our Dining Hall has 2300 sq ft of main area, 2 bathrooms and 24 5-ft round tables for your use (we recommend renting chairs) and a sound system. Our pine floors, high rafters, and white holiday lights already strung up for you - all make the space feel very special for your guests.

We provide an exclusive weekend at camp for up to 122 overnight guests (our average wedding size is 100-150) - includes dining hall, pavilion, lodges, cabins, campfires and all outdoor spaces. We even open the sport shed for you - bocce, croquet and more.

Amazing Venue for our Wedding!
When planning our wedding, we knew we wanted to prioritize spending as much time as possible with family and friends. We had 130 guests and 80 guests stayed with us in cabins. The location in Charlottesville also allowed easy access for guests who preferred to stay in a hotel. Tina was fantastic to work with and met us on two different Saturdays prior to the wedding so we could look at the venue. Shuttling guests from parking to the top of camp was much easier than we expected. We really enjoyed having full use of the dining hall where we ate breakfasts and lunches, and being able to use many of the camp amenities was awesome (picnic tables, fire pit, previous wedding goods, etc) The campfire circle with benches, pavilion, and an open space for cocktail hour are all very close together making for smooth transitions throughout the day. Our band was able to set up in the Pavilion and sounded awesome, and there was plenty of parking for catering as well. If you are looking for a camp-y wedding, we absolutely recommend Camp Holiday Trails.

Friday the 13th wedding!
Over all the venue was great everything was well kept. A little packed in the cabins due to the school supplies being in there but overall very clean and easy to communicate with the venue.

Camp is a dream come true
Camp was the perfect fit for our wedding. We made use of the space in several ways, and our guests were thrilled to be attending a party that felt a little different than most weddings! The camp staff made it easy to plan, do site visits, and had the spaces clean and ready for us. We felt so good knowing that our money was spent supporting a good cause. We're already thinking about what other kinds of events we could hold there!

The perfect venue for our alternative wedding
This venue is amazing. You have access to the entire camp - pavillion, dining hall, fire pits, lodges and cabins. We had about half of our guests spend the entire weekend at the camp with us. They even staffed the rock climbing wall for our guests Saturday morning before our wedding. There are so many options to make your event exactly what you want it, and the staff is so great and easy to work with. Best of all- the fees go towards sending special needs children to camp. Cannot recommend it enough!!

A Unique Venue
Camp Holiday Trails is such a wonderful, unique wedding venue. It has has an Everyone-is-Welcome summer camp vibe. There are plenty of accommodations for you, your family, your wedding party and more to stay there on site and make a weekend out of it, so you can spend quality time together. From a photographer's point of view, there were plenty of beautiful options around the property for doing portraits. You can do photos up by these very old, historic barns up on a hill, or down by the creek, with a pretty bridge or down by the lake where there is an array of colorful canoes!
